The Monday thing only lasted a couple weeks. I think they said more will be in stock in January. There is one on sale on the lines forum. Buy it before I weaken and buy it.

Joined this forum since this seems to be getting more M8 discussion than elsewhere outside of Discord (which I donāt use personally). How are folks finding this machine for jungle/break heavy styles?
I primarily want to use this as a jungle machine, but read that the sample slicing is currently only even divisions of bars? Are there any intentions to allow users to move slice points around? And how powerful/flexible can I manipulate a slice once itās been chopped? Is slicing destructive or based on changing sample start?
Sorry for the deluge of questions! I plan on getting one anyway, looks way too good not to get, but want to make sure I know what Iām getting myself into

more advanced slicing is in the works I believe.
slicing is non-destructive.

This is the link, if you donāt see it here, then it probably sold. nice price, if you ask me. I almost grabbed one direct and it wouldāve been ~$600 after tax / shipping anyway.
Word is there could be another batch ready in around a month. I donāt know how theyāll be released, though. Trash80 posts here every once and a while, but the best place for updates is probably the Discord or the Patreon.

The most recent Beta was released within the last 24 hours, and slices no longer have to be evenly split.
Itās a really comprehensive update.

note: break programming was done in renoise and itās just playing back a long render, but it could do exactly the same chopping as I did in renoise if I could be bothered re-making it properly.

I think for chopping breaks for Jungle music, the M8 can hold itās own. The new update will include the updated slicing, scales, and a bunch of other things. M8 is beast

Yeah, even before the slicing update, it was as good as any other tracker (ie. excellent). Iām a bit oldskool and still use sample start position to do my break chopping, so havenāt really had the desire for custom slice pointsā¦ that said, Iāll probably give them a try at some point!

I love how Tim quietly releases this beta firmware and itās a complete game changer, at least for me it is. Sample slicing was my only request, so anything that getās added from here on out is just icing on the cake.

Sure. I found it in the discord under the beta-testing topic. If you use the search bar and type in āfirmwareā it should pop up.
