Holy shit that stings
câest la vie.
with anything else I might be like sh1111t, but for m8 personally I really donât care
Anyone thinking of joining next weeks scrum from the UK, I managed to bag mine this Monday and it has been delivered already! Pretty fast. ÂŁ100 import taxes. I had previously cancelled a preorder and regretted it almost instantly, so was poised ready to go with payment details already set up.
mine should be delivered tommorow fingers crossed, UK here too, looking forward to it for sure, those import fees were a little rough but worth it i reckon, good first impressions mate ?
Not picked it up yet, been delivered while I was at work to a drop off point. Actually wonât be able to till Saturday morning
fair enough, the anticipations almost as good as having it anyway, enjoy it when it arrives mate
Thanks you too. I have made my most personally successful stuff to date on the Polyend Tracker so Iâm expecting great results from this. Tables look amazing. Itâs a different workflow from the tracker though and after trying LSDJ it kind of put me off for a bit, but the quality of the end product and the openness of the production process sucked me back in. Enjoy your weekend of discovery!
same for me with Renoise, the tracker workflow is great basically, i used tables a bit on the headless M8 and like everyone says theyâre super powerful, just hoping for a better sample slicing feature in the future and LFO speed/shape change per step, thatd be great.
Ideally be able to route the LFOs and Envelopes to each other.
And Fixed Pitches for Transpose purposes.
But Iâm so happy with the m8 as it currently is, these requests are just drops in thr bucket
Unfortunately not, perhaps I should have been less whimsical with my language- scale lock transposition is what I meant.
ThatâŚbeingâŚsaidâŚ
I was completely unaware of that instrument setting before your post(I still need to work through the manualâŚ) thanks for sharing a useful piece of info
Yeah I hope on the discord an official feature request opens up once things have settled down and people have had time to fully learn it. From me currently I kind if wish there were some more features built around the live mode but we will see if that changes. Currently it seems like if youâre organize something for live mode and then want to build a song version of it, it is more of a pain than I expected. Would love to see a little sub sequencer for it as a song mode but yeah I doubt there is enough demand for a feature like that, I am probably in a very small minority of people who prefer live mode and would like a song mode for that style of organization.
Man, spent over an hour trying to get headless working. Lots of nice folks said itâs âstraightforwardâ and âeasy.â Iâm sure it is for them
I got pretty far, but donât get the full M8 screen. Just this
Try the web display instead.
Just tried it and it seems like it might be working Now all I gotta learn is, everything. Manual time, thanks!
Hey hey! Alright! Glad you were able to get your headless running!
Hope you enjoy the workflow! It takes a bit of getting used to.
(Maybe after you get along with the M8âŚmaybe you could give Renoise another chanceâŚ? )
With the product so popular and parts so short, I am investigating the possibility of DIY packaging the handheld Headless into a form that anyone can build.
If youâre interested, please advise!
(Obviously Iâm not trying to compete with the product *:))
Maybe One headache at a time!
Well, kept getting bumped offline (though my internet connection is solid). Turned out to be several hours and a few bucks Iâll never get back
Oh well, Iâve wasted money on dumber things I suppose
Iâd still like to try the actual hardware one day, but the headless just ainât working and Iâm tired of feeling like an idiot for one night
It doesnât matter if youâre online after it loads, it says on that page that once it loads it works completely offline.
