Look Mum No Computer representing UK in Eurovision

Eurovision contest in Asia? Does it mean European contestants perform in Asia? Or does it mean is the Asian version of Eurovision? (Most likely) but then wth are they calling it Eurovision and not Asiavision? Also, the most pressing question, given that that contest (Asiavision) would be the only one where Israel actually belongs to, will they have the guts to ban them from participating? (One could only hope, I mean there must be someone out there with the bare minimum amount of principles and cojones left, no? And I mean cojones, not kahanism, which is all we got with the ā€œEuropeanā€ original version…)

I love LMNC but I don’t think this was his best work.

Then again, if it was me up there, I’m not sure I’d want to blow my best work on Eurovision. Pearls before swine and all.

There is life after Eurovision.

They did a short publicity piece during the ESC itself and it’s Asian acts competing in the Eurovision format. I’m not sure how far west they’d extend in their definition of Asia so can’t answer the Israel question.

But as stated a few times upthread, Eurovision is a broadcast union first and foremost but it is based in Europe. If they’d called it something without ā€œEuro-ā€ in its name, there wouldn’t be the controversy.

I think this is how Russia could be imagined… someday

For good or for worse, Israel is oriented towards Europe in finance, trade, and culture. They compete in European sports events and so on. I“m not advocating anything, just state of affairs. It“s weird with politics and powerful countries have very two-faced strategy towards many issues. I will never forget how Netherlands back in 2014 opened their Rotterdam port for one of the first Russian tankers that drilled in the Arctic, days after they downed the civil plane over Ukraine, full with dutch citizens. Now they boikot Eurovision, much easier when there“s no money involved.

This is because any crisis very clearly demonstrates how no one cares about the real problems of ordinary people.

i was hoping the winning track was a take on Skrillex’s ā€œBangarangā€ but was woefully disappointed

not a big fan of Dubstep but I’d watch Eurovision just to see the effect of Skrillex’s Bangarang or maybe that Alvin Risk collab Try It Out just come unexpectedly + seeing the crowd reactions  …then at the end they’d whisper in the mic : ā€œbeat that Euro trashā€ + mic drop :joy:

I’m really enjoying his custom car making.

Don’t let other people tell you you can’t.

At Age 70 he’ll be qualified to repair Everything in Existence.

Does he come from a wealthy Family?

Im also confused how he can finance all this. Sure he does content and music, but the time investment means its for sure without a regular job and even if most he takes in is free junk even having the space for that.

Then again, if its outside of a major city and he got the property, he really mostly uses free junk he salvages and patreon (i assume) works good i could see it working out

His stats are hidden on patreon but in 2023 he had ~2000 paid members, will be a lot more now. Solid income right there
