I like the idea…but find the screen a bit to tiny for my liking…

Sounds like a cool controller, music theory in a box.

I got the funded message

right now it is:

270
backers
$54,916
pledged of $55,000 goal
29
days to go

this is my first ever kickstarter thing that I pledged … man I am so excited! …

could not even spell the fucking name right in the thread…silly me… neither chords nor spelling is my strong suit!

pledged too this morning.

True you can do a lot similar on screen with your daw or ipad, but I just like the idea of a hardware unit to simply try things directly by physically pressing a button. great for composition freedom and ‘instant on’ when plugged into a hardware poly synth.
Like their demo video of acoustic guitar arpeggios.
real midi out is a great feature. kills me that so many controllers just do usb.
be interesting to see what sort of job they do on the sequencer side which is still in development.

Looks interesting… maybe in the future, might look into it.

Toy money is tied up waiting for last thing I kickstarted, whihc I am soooper excited about

I think for my next project I’m going to do a kickstarter…

what is it you’re waiting for ? … i’m curious/nosey : )

kool, the ‘strum’ ribbon controller is a nice idea.

i think, for the money involved, they possibly missed a trick by not using an actual keybed of some sort instead of those buttons in the key array. wouldn’t have added much to the footprint, just check out the akai lpk 25.

with a keybed I’d be more interested since it would make it more multi-purpose. ymmv.

To push out v1 of OctaEdit? I try not to leave things halfbaked.

And it might not be the best look starting a kickstarter, before finalising the last big project? :stuck_out_tongue:

As for what it is… we’ll see if/when/maybes in due course.

Kilpatrick Carbon

http://store.kilpatrickaudio.com/carbon

Nice!

Up at $115,000 with sd, sequencer, progressions & colour options. Some hint of an internal OPL3 FM synth on their FB page and bigger screen “going from a 128x64 mono screen to a 128x160 color screen”

Damm this kilpatrick sequencer is sexy. Very very thought out.

just about to hit the $150,000 goal!

M A D E I T !!! yay… anybody else backed this ?

I was the 24th subscriber $179  yay!

roll on September delivery - looking forward to see their final product design in April.

I guess we must be FanBots or KordBoys?

Wow someone finally bought 20 of them !

Starting to look almost there…
