Kai Chonishvili - First Liveact Show in Berlin (Analog Rytm, Octatrack & Drambo)

Hi there

I played my first live act show in Berlin and finally I found a solution for my never ending “I wanna play a Liveact”-problem

The Analog Rytm MK2 is my main instrument for the Drums and the MIDI Notes, which are triggering two iOS Synths (different synths per track) in my iOS Host Drambo. Drambo is using the Audio Interface from the Analog Rytm and routes its signal through track 5 and 6 from the Rytm, so I have the digital synth world processed by the Analog Rytms circuits (Filter, Overdrive etc.).

I played 10 tracks, every track has its own Drambo project, so I have to switch between them during the transition by the Octatrack. The Octatrack acts as a performance mixer and looper for the transition and DJ style mixing experience. Everything feels like a DJ Set where I can decide, which instruments currently play. I like it very much

I guess my search for the “perfect setup” is over and I created a solid base for my upcoming gigs. Now I can focusing on the best part: social media & being present on relevant channels (ufff)

I’am open for sharing details about my setup, so if anyone has any question, please post it here

Best, Kai

Solid set. Dig it!
Edit: Feel free to drop a note here next time you play. Would be cool to catch it.

haha I was there! I’m the guy dancing on the top right corner for most of the set  we had a brief conversation afterwards, shocked that it was your first live set as it was very tight and super high energy!

:D:D Yes it was my first show, but in the last 3 years I jammed a lot in my studio so every move felt very natural to me  I recorded more than 30 jams and after this show I decided to put these on my yt channel. I guess it’s better to upload those jams instead of having them on the SSD and forget it …

Definitely! Share them with the world :earth_americas:
I have recorded quite a few jams but there’s probably hundreds of tracks that never saw the light
