Since my last live show, I’ve decided to dust off my Youtube channel and now upload an unreleased track every(!) week (including the live show) that I performed live in the studio. I’ll show you exactly how the setup for each track works in the YT description. I would be happy to see you there!
Here are my latest track uploads:
Ask me whatever you like, I’am happy to share my knowledge
After visiting Superbooth, my head was buzzing and my legs felt like they were asleep. That reminded me of a breakcore track I wrote (inspired by Venetian Snares) that was already 10 years old and was refreshed last fall with the Soma Pulsar 23. I uploaded it to my YouTube channel and hope it fills someone’s head with “brzzzzzz” and energy
Another track of mine was uploaded a few weeks ago, so I’m posting that one too. It’s inspired by DJ Rush and was created during a live performance with Digitakt 2, Deckards Dream, Akai MFC 42, and other stuff.
In this track, I continued my approach of making a panic attack audible! I have struggled with an anxiety disorder for more than two decades, and most of the time when I was “in the movie,” the transition from “everything is okay” to “now I’m in it” felt like the rising intro part of this track, until the Kickdrum kicks in!
For me, it’s a big deal to make that “I hate you, anxiety disorder!” feeling audible and capture the exact moment when the fear overwhelms you and takes control.
In 2017, I was in Georgia with my family and we planned to drive across the country to Vardzia, a historic cave city. At that time, Georgia’s landscape was dominated by old cars (broken windows, bare front ends, and so on). For me, as a kid from the West, the rugged landscape and broken-down cars were the perfect image for one of my techno tracks.
This techno track was produced with instruments I created myself on Softube Modular, a virtual modular system. So every sound you hear is handmade by me.
Hi fellows!
I just experimented with the Elektron Digitakt 2, Digitone 2 and the iOS App Elastic OSC as digital sound sources in combination with an analogue filter Mojo box - Akai MFC 42 - and an analogue mixer with MIDI Controllers - Allen & Heath Xone 4D.
My goal was to transform the digital precision into extrem analogue warmth, distorted and breathing happines
Hach ja! How much I loved the AKAI MFC 42 and it’s distortion in particular. I think it was the inspiration for the Air Multiband Filterbank Plugin for the newer MPCs, which I like a lot, even though it’s not the screaming analog original.
