Just noticed that my mk2 messes up kits when saving with shift-1. It saves kits but imminently after saving i can hear few differences in sound, several small things but they’re there. Anyone has such problems?
Mine has never gone into screen saver mode.
I need to add samples from my Perkons and Rytm to the Jomox sample bank.
Yeah I have noticed mine does not go into screensaver mode, maybe something changed in an update.
I havent had a problem saving kits like you describe.
A few times I have hosed my sounds or entire kit when using an external midi controller for sound design, by having it set to the wrong or omni channel. Maybe double check theres nothing inadvertently sending midi ccs.
I have noticed that sometimes on a power cycle it doesnt not load the correct kick sound initially, but if i swap pattern then back again it loads fine. The other sounds all load fine.
Well this video kicks ass:
Yeah his channel is great. I really had fun today warping beats on my Jomox AB MK2 with my new Eventide H90. It really opened up new dimensions to more than just a drum machine. I really flipped Jomox on its head! H90 lets me use Jomox as an ambient drone machine similar to the Solar 42 ambient synth without spending another 2k on more hardware.
So his AB has os v1.10 installed and his machine goes into screen saver mode. My Mk2 has the same os and it doesn’t
wtf
question for Jurgen but unfortunately he never answers emails lol. I am glad to have different drum synths. At least Elektron and Erica Synths provide reliable tech support in comparison to Jomox.
Bauke mentions in another video that Jurgen didn’t return his email either.
yea so frustrating and wish he would hire an assistant. Hopefully mine is reliable. Well at least I have tons of drum synths now so have plenty of options.
Hi
Ive just picked up a MKll and was wondering if theres any early serial numbers with any bugs or any problems in general i should look out for
Thanks
You should definitely update to the latest firmware if you still have an outdated version installed.
Then test all the encoders to see if they’re particularly imprecise, test loading samples via SD card, and generally test all the functions. It’s best to work through the entire manual for this.
Unfortunately, it has to be said that the AB is a temperamental diva that has problems and glitches here and there.
If you can live with that, however, you’ll be rewarded with a unique and awesome sound.
I was thinking what if our units are faulty in a way? Maybe there’s a defect that prevents them to go into “auto off” mode?
Jurgen doesn’t respond to emails again ofc ![]()
I have one from the initial pre-order opening when they were discounted for like a week.
No issues at all. Be sure to update the firmware and dig into the manual.
There’s something in there about storing kits while the sequencer is running (but don’t quote me) that could require a reinstall.
oh nice! Yeah I should get the Decksaver finally this week for my Jomox. Now I am waiting for Decksaver to make one for the new Hexdrums.
Nice ! Would you share the details of these ones please ?
Thanks !
