Japanese MPCs

Do you think it’s because of your time spent on the 1000 vs the Live 2?

I’ve never used an MPC before the Live 2, and I really really like it… do you think if the Live 2 is my point of entry to the MPC line that I would still appreciate:dig:prefer the MPC 1000?
Do you know what I’m getting at? Like the point of entry/reference point plays a big part in our personal preferences…?

Yes I think you might be right. I didn’t think about that. And I just loathe touchscreens so that didn’t help things. For example, I detest this iPhone I’m typing this reply on right now.

Yep if you’re in the UK save yourself the Russian roulette of buying on ebay and contact Jazzcat to see if he has anything in stock. He’s a professional refurbisher and his attention to detail is mental. He refurbished my 4000 a few years back. And he designs and builds his own high end hardware compressors and all sorts. Really nice guy. He’s in Portsmouth. Highly recommend.

Im with you. I started on the old gear and sometimes i miss it. I dont use many of the plugins or synths on these mpcs even though its cool they are there if need them.

There is some nice qol stuff though on the One like chords in pad perform. And the one just does everything i need so well that its tough to go backwards. That said when the mpc is a studio brain its nice to have a backup and the 1k is an awesome option.
