Is there a workaround for only 15 tracks in Ableton?

Now that Overbridge for DN2 is out, I am wondering: Is there a way to get track 16 out in Ableton? Only 15 tracks can be chosen there, so I am wondering if there is a workaround that can give me the 16th track (for both DT2 and DN2).

This is an Ableton Live limitation since forever ago.

Yes, I know. I am asking if there is a workaround. Any hacky way that can get me the 16th track.

Can you use two instances of the VST?

I think there’s a setting in DT system settings or somewhere else where you can choose which tracks are routed to which OB tracks. Meaning you can, for example, send a closed and open hat you have on track 15 and 16 both to OB track 16. I think people have found even more elaborate ways to solve this but that oneā€˜s probably the quickest. Iā€˜ve just decided that Iā€˜ll steer clear of track 16 as an audio track for now. Luckily, track swap makes it easier to change rows in old projects.

You can open them, but seems like the VST will ā€œlockā€ itself to the DN2/DT2, so the second instance is looking for device.

Thanks, this is an okay workaround. Sucks a bit of course, but will be adequate. I will make sure 16 has a corresponding tracks with sounds that do not overlap, then I can manually edit them and split them later.
