iPad Music Apps?

I got BlipBox and I like it a lot.

Just testing this preset kit sharing…

Enjoy some various snares!

I also just tested if I could copy a drum pad from one preset, switch to a different preset and paste it, and I can! Cool… this thing sort of needs its own thread for sharing sounds…

Anything on iPad that can match drum software like ezdrummer etc?

Have you tried Drummer in Garage Band or the Drummer in Logic for iPad

To me, that’s the greatest weakness of the iPad. Lots of cool drum synths, but if you want acoustic drums, welcome to figuring out AudioLayer and importing multisample kits.

A lot of iPad users swear by Lumbeat drumming apps:

Yeah they are good, but limited in genre selection and not AUv3 as far as I remember.

No I haven’t. What about Drum Maschine Desinger in Logic on iPad?
I think the desktop version can do that but I’m not sure if the iPad version does as well.

Example on the desktop https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zwt02wPPv2E

Logic Pro is the best for drums imo, especially if you consider the Drummer integration where you can play any samples with it.

No idea about ezdrummer but if I’m in need of acoustic workouts I lean on Slammer for the iPad

It’s in the iPad as well.

Are you 100% sure? Soundformore on Youtube (which has the best tutorials btw) says it’s not possible yet.

This is what i see in Logic Pro for iPad:

Drummer and DrumKit Designer

Yes I know DMD is in Logic for iPad but apparently it can’t load multiple samples and assign them to the same pad with different velocity rates like it does on Mac.

I’m really not sure. I use PlayBeat 3 for my drums on both platforms.

There’s a 7 Day demo of Logic Pro on iPad.

Here’s a good video overview:

Yes and he’s saying it’s not possible yet.

Good to know

iOS folks

I’m after an iOS app to do the job of either my MPC or the 1010 Blackbox (that I haven’t bought yet…).

I have an A4mk2 into Rytm mk2 and I want my iPad usb connected to the Rytm.

For the sampler app in the iPad I want minimum resistance to be able to record either samples or loops from the A4/AR, and be able to play them back sync’d to the AR’s clock.

Anyone recommendations?
Anyone doing something like this?

I tried Logic Pro yesterday, turns out that won’t sync to external clock… and I went to Beatmaker 3 which seems like it could do it, but it didn’t feel intuitive, I want to avoid a steep learning curve if I can.
