iPad Music Apps

The full-function IAPs are around 40% off for now, other than Drum Computer, which of course just came out. You still get a couple of Euros discount though.

Edit: Beat me to it

I think Ruismaker FM sounds quite good.

Poly 2 is an awesome awesome app. One of favorites. Polyrythms ftw!

I picked up Ruismaker Noir a little while ago while suffering from DFAM GAS. It’s pretty cool, fun and easy to make presets and patterns. Sampled it and added the loops to my collection. But I doubt I’ll use it again.

I originally created my Youtube account because I ran out of space on Soundcloud and there didn’t seem to be a limit. I hesitated though at the thought of having to make videos.

I’ve seen Wizibel recommended by a few folks as a convenient workaround, for when you have music ready to upload but don’t want to spend a lot of time on the video-making aspect. It generates something to look at while the music plays. Currently on sale:

AUM & Beatmaker 3 both now discounted

Edit: Also Sector, Segments, Audioshare

DDMF is now also in the game this year

Aum being discounted is a big deal… It’s kind of essential for deeper sound design I found! Works amazing with a Novation Launch Control XL as well.

Nearly everything worth having is 40-50% off at the moment. Great time to get into iOS music right now. With a carefully chosen €$£100 of apps you can have a ridiculous amount of fun

Somebody demoing DDMF apps - most notably the MagicDeathEye Stereo Compressor. Some peeps expressed concern that this newer compressor may be CPU heavy but when I look at this guy’s CPU meter, it rarely goes over 60%, which isn’t bad considering how many apps he’s got loaded into AUM.

I bought Jamm Pro yesterday, which I’m surprised isn’t mentioned more often.
The interface is a bit cryptic / intimidating (definately needs tutorials) but it’s quite deep, and for what I’ve tried so far, seems like a great experiment > resample > experiment app

Also sales are few and far between! Agreed AUM and AudioShare are two essential Swiss Army knife apps.

I just uploaded v1 of my MonoTrack Drambo patch. It’s an OT/DT-inspired. Any feedback is welcome. I may have gone a bit nuts.

You can check it out here.

I was just about to ask if anyone has tried flip yet and do they have thoughts. I can’t imagine anything being easier than koala, no idea if this is like that though!

iPad version of MixBox is out for $40 intro price:

Lot of people are fixated on the guitar amp modeling stuff in there, but I’m more interested in experimenting with the channel strip and mix improvement aspects.

Just bought it and sounds great so far. Using it on drums and synths in zenbeats
