on this note, you might also want to check Limiter by Amazing Noises
got it years ago - can act as a limiter or maximizer and, although it doesn’t offer any EQ options, it does has a nice saturation sound, imho
plus, super cheap

I use it a lot too. Find I don’t need to bring up the actual saturation slider - just go a bit over on the limiting

@amaury you should also check BLEASS reverb and the new BLEASS Shimmer …

I will, thanks!

There are lots of possibilities… hard to choose, mmm…

what kind of reverb would you like first ?

I’m after two things:

  • a ā€œregularā€ reverb but of high quality like the hall/plate/room algorithms I find in the Eventide Space
  • a more special reverb for more special FX. The Bleass one seems to do a good job at that. I think I’ll buy it and see how it is for job 1…

Im quite picky with reverb, it’s so much coloring the music. I like quality which of course is super subjective. I’ve been spoiled with a 480L a while ago and found many reverb, after that, too grainy, not airy enough…

I think I’m going to go for TB reverb and Bleass. They seem different enough.

As far as I can see I can ask for refund if I don’t like an app… Still waiting to see if that’s actually working.

So many choices.

One option is the FabFilter Pro Bundle. Lowest price was $95.
FabFilter Bundle $95: Pro-R, Pro-L 2, Pro-MB, Pro-Q 3, Pro-C 2, Pro-DS, Pro-G.

The FabFilter plugins have several features that aren’t available in most other iPadOS plugins, including multiple oversampling options for mastering, EQ Match, External Side Chaining, Dynamic EQ, Spectrum Grab, multi-output AU instances, etc. And that’s just their EQ. All are pristine and transparent with excellent graphics, UI and UIX. They aren’t just desktop ports either.

Audio Damage’s Eos 2 is really nice.

Thanks! I bought it and will see with the TB reverb, whether I prefer one or they are more complementary.

I feel like after 2710 posts, the ā€œ?ā€ should be removed from the thread title.

@mods a minor niggle but could we remove the ā€œ?ā€ from the thread title? It makes that vein in my forehead twitch every time I see it o__o

I’ll go hide in my crab hole again…

the eventide blackhole is round and a little dark , the bleass reverb is bright. the TB is a factory, an all around reverb ( not my taste ), fac alteza and bleass shimmer are huge. and you can do a hell lot of experimentation with. atmosphere cloud is very thin and long and begins at the root of your sound which can be very useful.

Just saw a good deal on a 12.9" 3rd gen and bought it as an upgrade from my 10.5" (I do iOS development so the more iPads the merrier regardless, lol) – does anyone have a recommendation for a portable adapter which will allow headphones + USB-C charging or data at the same time?

I’ve got quite in to sitting on the sofa sampling from the iPad into the Digitakt using the USB connection, so I’d like to be able to do this with as little fuss as possbile.

I know this ship has sailed, but I can’t believe Apple ditched the headphone jack on the Pro!

This works for me so far. It also has 3 usb plugs so I use a midi controller as well as the Digitakt with it. It has SD card and ethernet as well if you have a use for it.

I don’t know what model it is exactly, I got it from my work, hopefully you can find out by go ogling the name or picture.

Oh boy, just took advantage of the Nembrini Audio sale on the App Store and bought four amps (Cali Reverb, BST100, Sound Master, MRH810) for 10.99 each…

Now I’m enjoying the Cali Reverb (clean!) fed through the Atmosphere Cloud Reverb (beautiful effect also!) and I’m in heaven. This sounds so so good to me and is SO playable.

Forgot how amazing the iOS platform is for guitar playing in bed (or anywhere else) lol.

We’re quite lucky to have such easy access to so many phenomenal instruments and tools.

Thanks, looks good. Also posted this on the Audiobus forum and this was recommended. https://www.kingston.com/us/memory-card-readers/nucleum-usb-type-c-hub

I since realised that for the Digitakt use case it doesn’t matter, as the audio comes out of the Digitakt, haha

Yes, that’s how I use it as well. The iPad sound is sent to the Digitakt USB, I hear it in stereo.

What I did is cut the audio from the Digitakt from the main, and tap it in AUM via USB (and send it back via USB to the Digitakt), that way I can record everything in AUM.

Yep. Such a fun little setup. Just having the one cable feels so clean, it’s really rekindled my love for the Digitakt!

Excited to get my hands on a bigger iPad, I’ve been really enjoying AUM and Drambo but find the 10.5" screen a little bit small

My only current issue with that mobile setup is that if I plug my battery pack to the hub, the ipad doesn’t charge. If I plug it directly to the iPad without the hub, it does charge the iPad… Annoying!
