While true, and a different way of thinking, it can still do more of both types than the original could, so you donât actually lose anything, and then you can tailor it further toward the type of track youâre making instead of just 4+4.

Its not obsolete, maybe it wasnât the correct word. its just not worth the money I paid because you can have four of them in one box for 200⏠more. Maybe I should wait and get a second DN when they are 300⏠hehe

I agree so much. They can have my DNK when they pry it from my cold dead hands! Even after I have a DNII most likely :0)

Care to share a link where you heard this preset?
Why not wait and get DNII when theyâre eventually $300? Otherwise the next thing will just come along and youâll be right back here. Or you can get your logic right and realize that these machines are tools, not financial investments.

I keep the OG for the kids and save up to DN2 for myself. Or maybe it should be the other way around? Guess the will learn faster then me anyway

At least here where I live and love.
That is a good way to do things. I trickle down computers, PC parts, game systems, and musical instruments to my kids, other family, friends, etc.

I gave my kid the MPC Live 1 and a JDXI. Thought he would use them and learn them and become a starâŚuh, I looked at them the other day on his desk and I can barely see them from the dustâŚOMG

Very nice glow up for an already great synth. Iâm not upgrading though. The og does exactly what I need it to do (and is still a bottomless well of inspiration) and I mostly use only one or two tracks at the same time anyway.

I am aware of this. But they are very expensive tools for some of us that donât live in countries where you have good salaries. And you know, Ill keep making music with a DN or a cracked Live, I know it doesnât matter. Theres no need for schooling anyone, Iâm just upset and wanted to share my thoughts.
