yeah i really like the comp in the OT… its creative enough to even get that lofi SP404 sound out of it if you want. I’ve got some pretty killer hardware comps, but the comp in the OT has its own flavor that’s worth keeping the unit for as well as just using the OT as an FX box.

They both use VESA mounts so just drill the right spacing on a good piece of plywood or aluminum. I will probably CNC a shared platform to mount my Digitakt with my MD together… Though that’ll be a hair less strait forward.
I’m sure there are possibilities for work around’s for now… Which could make for some interesting results

Hmmm. Elektron said something special was coming for the Master page, but mixing levels seems a bit vanilla. Do you guys think they planned something else, but we’re unable to get it implemented in time?
Also, I can’t remember the exact words, but Simon said that they were planning something innovative for pattern chaining that they think will replace Song mode. Again, the lack of ability to save chains is a bit of a bummer. Could this also have been a feature that just couldn’t be finished in time?
I suppose on paper the Digitakt was always a bit disappointing to me, but when I saw it in action in the Superbooth videos it seemed fantastic. I have already bet on this pony by preordering so I’ll be giving it a fair shake.
This is going to be my first Elektron product, and people kept implying that Elektron tends to surprise with a few extras when they release stuff, but my initial impression is that they just kind of didn’t live up to stuff they had been mentioning, like Overbridge sample transfer. Anyway, I’m still excited to get my hands on one, but also a bit bummed.

Bwahahhahahahhahah what a load of shite. Cenk saying something special is coming for the Master button and hyping it up and its volume meters? I am new to the Elektron world but is something like this normal from them? Do they actually think that volume meters are hype worthy 
seems like they’ve rushed out the standard chains. will the updated chains be coming later? time will tell.
there got to be more coming for master too, as was mentioned, otherwise it’d have been called mixer.
I really hope for a compressor with sidechain, and saveable chains

Yeah I am feeling the same tbh, I was really looking forward to the comp on the master and solid pattern chaining… I am trying to decide whether to keep my preorder now, maybe wait and see if they impliment this stuff later

I bought into a lot of hype this year. I was originally planning on getting a Live, but Akai has also stumbled out of the gate with a bunch of problems. I need something in my setup so the Digitakt will be it for a while. I’m hoping it evolves into greatness and I’ll probably still grab a Live when I’m sure all the major hardware and software issues are sorted.

Exactly the same as me, I also cancelled my Mpc Live preorder.
I’m at the point now where i might just upgrade some VST’s and be done with it haha

I know for a fact that Ableton can do everything you need. It has endless possibilities. before Digitakt I was thinking about getting a Push 2. If you wantd a limitless smpler workstation Push 2 and a soundcard would sort you right out.

I bought my OT in 2013 and even then it was still “in development” kind of… so its pretty normal for Elektron to release and keep developing stuff.
