could someone explain why everyone is so desperate to know what all the functions do before it is fully distributed? (master page etc)⌠if youâve pre-ordered youâll find out when it arrives, if you havenât ordered one then why not wait until itâs out and in peoples hands⌠they can tell you then. Not really sure what the rush is?

Everything is manufactured in batches, even high demand/large volume products. Elektron is serving a rather small market and canât afford to make 100,000 unit batches. That is just too much risk for such a custom product.

Itâs human nature? We want to know because we are curious and excited about the product? Some want to find out about key features that will impact their purchasing decisions. Most want a ship date.I have to wonder why youâve come to this thread if not to try and find some bits of info about the Digitakt.

ship date news i understand, (though people are being crazy aggressive about it even though no actual date was ever promised)
demanding to know specific features i donât get⌠the first batch is sold out so information canât really affect a purchasing decision, thatâs what puzzles me⌠i would understand âcuriosityâ as being human nature, but there is so much âdemandâ and âyou should tell us now!!â comments here⌠i came to to the thread because I pre-ordered and was interested to see what info appears, but donât feel any need to demand answers to things I will find out when it arrives. now i read the thread for comedy value really

McDonalds doesnât perform pre-sales. There is no âteaserâ waiting period. You just go thereand you get your shitty food almost immediately after you pay. The culture that desires immediate gratification like that is the culture that I am referring to.
Unless what you are trying to say is that Elektron puts out âMcDonalds-levelâ products. In which case I would ask, which machine are you referring to?
As far as Iâm concerned, the impatient culture that wants to pre-order an abstract product and then complain about a lack of info deserves all of the pain, anguish, suffering, and malady that they get from waiting for new information. I work with homeless people every day, so youâll have to forgive me if I have zero empathy for your âplightâ.

Yes I do. I just think itâs ridiculous. If companies are impatient to get the money, then customers are impatient to get the product. itâs called capitalism. thatâs why people are homeless.
Capitalism doesnât prevent anyone from helping the poor. So donât pretend that those that pre-ordered didnât put themselves in this predicament. Everyone is responsible for their own decisions.

very questionable claims. and very off topic.
Capitalism is based on the premise that a free market dictates. So if people are really that salty, the market should dictate that people wonât give their money and Elektron will go out of business.
