Introducing Digitakt II

Hopefully if enough people tell them that they have dijon mustard on the collar of their finely woven black polo shirt, they will notice

How about convincing Ricky Tinez - that might help, too

Elektron dropped the ball on the name. It should have been the DigiTwokt. Then we can have the DigiTwone and Syntwokt.

Elektron, that’s yours, free of charge, from my 20 year old mostly unused marketing degree experience. Consider it a thank you for the amazing update.

From?

From where?

I think precision slicing is something they’ll update eventually on the digitakt. Or at least I hope they do.

For anyone who ordered from Alto Music. I submitted a question to their automated bot about when we can expect them to ship. I received a very terse text response that simply said We should have them in a few days. Not quite sure I trust that…

I remain optimistic.

Just for information (I think this will get fixed quickly):

I’d like to take that back:

After reaching 10GB of transferred data, DT2 regularly freezes during process. Sometimes just the transfer stops, but increasingly often the DT2 freezes. All of that independently of: using or leaving the DT2 untouched; USB audio on/off etc… It has also nothing to do with sreensaver. And it happens if the busy wheel in the upper left corner is spinning - and also if it doesn’t.

The good news:

  • Transfer stays in the last used folder (at least on the computer side)
  • if you restart the process, it automatically skips samples that are already on DT2

I hope that Overbridge will also include functions to save/transfer samples (overbridge must be musch faster, because of so many data to transfer at once for multi channel audio).

Edit: Some problems maybe caused by nested folders with more than one subfolder.

Alas:

did they charge you immediately or are they waiting until shipping?

I’m in the same boat. And I was charged for the box when I ordered a week ago.

It was pending the first couple of days but it has been charged now, AI bots haven’t learned how to gaslight yet, have they? I kid I kid, Alto is usually aces so I’m not worried, just impatient. I could have called, but I believe the robots. For now.

We’ll get there. Besides Control and some from Sweetwater, I don’t think many shops have em yet stateside. This is what we get for such a good deal!

where is Control?

Someone said Control earlier and I thought Control Voltage but I believe it’s the Control Modular storefront in New York.
