They received 24 units for, at least, 3 times the demand.

I have to say… it is pretty damn great that there are folk like @ThomasJ from Elektron in this thread picking up on issues as they emerge in this thread and commenting on them for everyone to see… let alone providing reassurance that stuff like this (on a device that’s only been out for about a week!) is going to get fixed.

If only other MI companies could do the same (hello Akai, hello Roland, hello… well, lots of companies, sadly). Massively appreciated, guys.

I am not sure. @myhrman may shime in…
(Side note : a option to avoid zero-crossing would be useful, as some random wavetables don’t necessarily have zero-crossing on their cycle beginning. And thanks you very much for hard sync tips, worked very well)

Does anyone know if the DT2 has USB host capability?

No one should have to say this about a $1000 sampler released in 2024…

Really hope Elektron implements a proper slice machine after the initial bugs are finally smoothed out.

I’m pretty sure the lack of a usb-a or usb-c socket means there is not.

Pretty sure it doesn’t. But it is has proper 5-pin DIN Midi in. And can be used as class compliant audio interface in/out.

No, nor did the OG DT or IIRC any other Elektron Digi box. You can connect the DT2 to any device that will support a class-compliant audio or MIDI box over USB but you can’t (for example) connect a USB MIDI controller to the DT2.

Woof.

Can the Digitakt II sequence an external synth via MIDI and, at the same time, transfer audio to the computer via USB?

Yes.

Yes. Wouldn’t have thought that from the description of the features. Sounds great. And I think the FX sound more stereo, too, but that might be just the result of stereo samples.

Having the whole sample library at hand also makes a difference - and the OT like preset pool triggers make some things so much easier and quicker.

Quick question for DT][ owners…have you submitted your request for Lazy Chops and the ability to adjust start time on Zero Point crossing with the Slice engine?

If not, could you please submit your request.

Thanks

Will it rise in priority when actual owners request new features?

Maybe. Maybe not. However, the more people that submit the same feature request, the more likely Elektron is to give it consideration.
