Introducing Digitakt II

i havent seen that done in any video, and theres no ui indication of zoom magnification.
i havent seen the manual yet…

its unlikely… unfortunately… but i hope someone proves me wrong.
i think it’s just rendering off a picture of the sample, its not actually ‘the sample’ being displayed. (though obviously i’m making this up as i dont know the code or anything… its just a gut feeling)… same with how overbridge displays it.

It really looks like a great new machine and I’m very happy to see the many new features that I’ve been dreaming about for Elektron machines in general. Tempted but I’m fine with my Octatrack.

Now I’m so anticipating Digitone II!

Does anyone know if its backwards compatible? I mean: will I be able to import and open my projects from my old DT?

I read somewhere you can.

Not currently. Hopefully it’s on the to-do list. The new sample viewer in the RECORDER is much nicer, would be great to edit existing samples the same way.

Quick note that out of all the videos and comments on this today your video is the only one that made me properly laugh several times so thank you.

No more descriptive text on the front. I always thought the “Drum Computer” part was a bit of a weird thing to write. It’s a just sampler dude…

Anyways, I want one. Won’t preorder, but I’ll probably sell my OG Digitakt somewhere down the line for this.

Going to stop watching videos now and go back to making music but would love to see a keyboardist demo this as a synth with all the new modulation bits.

That’s all we really needed to hear

You do. It keeps the sound consistent between patterns as you make changes.

One of the videos (from elektron) claimed backward compatibility for projects, yes, and made a big deal of it.

EDIT: here @ 7:22

Yeah, @jeanne was a perfect choice for many reasons!
One of them is she’s one of us ^^
Biggest one is she has the biggest sound :yum:

So glad when I learned it, real impressed at what I’ve watched!

A thought for @Fin25 that enjoyed the vid as well

This would be awesome. The lack of an Audio Editor is what still makes me consider a used Octatrack instead.

Kinda wish these units had 16 banks. I’ll probably end up getting one though lol

On the Compressor routing page, I don’t see the Inputs. Can’t sidechain the Inputs?
