128 steps over 8 pages is fantastic and gives a lot more scope for variation. I would love it if they’d add time signature ‘support’ so you can avoid the mental gymnastics - I use 6/8 time a lot in my compositions. With eight pages each page could be limited to (for 6/8) 12 steps and still have four bars at 16th note resolution.

I think I spotted something like that in one of the videos.

When the kit performance mode is on, the kit sound persists between pattern changes. Meaning that you can continuously change the sounds and have them stay continuous between pattern changes.

But can kits be used in song mode so sound persists between pattern changes?

In my humble opinion… you’re not buying “features” so much as you’re buying the experience. There isn’t a lot out there that has the features you brought up, but also has the same kind of inspiring improvisation friendly workflow. That’s why I use a Digitakt and not my Ableton Push2, which I got for free!!

Now that you can rename midi values in midi tracks… can midi be saved as a preset? I assume midi track value naming edits are saved in a kit?

I would have replaced the old DT with just the stereo sampling, or 16 tracks, or LFO improvements ALONE. Hell just the Euclidian mode justifies the upgrade IMO.

never noticed anything to that effect - i think USB sampling is probably not normalised, don’t quote me
