Curious if we get any farewell firmware for MKI
yes, these get their own new TAGS
loopop sez no on this
I would doubt it, still getting updates for the Analog 4 MK1
The second track in the demo by Gryr (Bloom is an old one by him. Is the demo of the Digitakt replicated to show it can all be done in one box? Can anyone tell me what is the synth and FX box he uses in the DT2 demo?
yep, parameter naming saved in presets and kits
I feel like there’s a couple of little QOL things that might make it across, if just to keep the E25 people sweet!
I think this will be fantastic for new buyers.
Do I want to shell out the money to upgrade though? Probably not. Sequencing 128 steps on 16 tracks feels like overkill, to say the least. And why do I want my one shot drum samples to be in stereo? More is less, in my case.
If one completely ignores the Kit functionality, does the selection of sounds on a pattern remain the same as it was on the DT1? Like, could I still have five drums on Pattern A and five different drums on Pattern B? I have a hard time using Kits and typically prefer having my sound tied to the pattern.
Just watch the Captain Pikant video and he showed the “Play” option with sample recording start. He pressed play and sampling started, but can you start sampling live during pattern playback, at the next pattern start (like PLEN on Octatrack)?
Agree but what stops them to offer both given that there is not much new in the experience? Euclid was already developed, stereo samples are a must for a 1k sampler, not to mention midi learn for a midi seq.
Improved ctrl/all, c.trigs/probs/mute are all great addition in terms of workflow, playability still don’t justify the price. That’s my humble opinion. I will probably buy one anyway.
It is normalized always as on DT1. It is hard to use the recorder if it is not normalized since it will play back with a wrong level on the tracks.
no, just manually with good timing (but it’s easy to get right with RLEN quantized)
I really hope they will port some of the QoL stuff over. CC renaming for example should not use up any ressources or mess with the UI.
No, not as far as i recall, it’s not like Kits on the Analogs … but i could be mistaken as it wasn’t a thing i deliberately tried
Does anyone know if you can import projects from the Digitakt MK1 ? And will the patterns and songs sound the same way? Or will I need re-programm everything?
i think so - answered above
It seems like DT2 will support DT1 projects seamlessly.
I wonder how many people like us out there living in France and suddenly remember the price tag on the leaked audiosolutions website after clearing out the payments at thomann
That extra €50 could go a long way to save up for Digitakt II E35 edition
It’s looks like very sweet for new buyer but I’m not sure it worth the upgrade from the mk1. I’m not seeing the point of stereo sample to be honest. Some other new feature looks cool like page loop, 128 step and 16 tracks but it’s not a game changer.
