Useless iPhone photo manipulation skills confirmed.
It should be illegal to change your avatar! I’m mad!
definitely
I totally lose track when avatar changes.
Since everyone’s trying a new avatar, I might as well do a little facelift.
Mine is from the backside of Mars Volta’s “Frances the Mute”. Not the LP version that I own, but some version has that. I’ve always adored the artwork for that album, and it seemed sorta fitting with my recent love letter to TMV.
When will the facelift be presentable because, for now, your face is hidden.
Lift the veil, Cerpin Taxt!
Now I’m lost.
Just don’t ever get rid of the Emperor Zombie avatar and I won’t get rid of my “something blowing up in your face” one. We will be just fine.
@soarer has changed their Avatar. Nice one!
goodbye pink/blue dino pic hello brown man in burgundy hoody (yes thats me lol)
I liked the previous one ^^
Can you post it, I’ve already started to forget it!
This new one looks pretty serious though!
Same for @Azzarole: I love Frances the Mute, but would you mind posting your previous avatar?
(if you want/can/have time)
it’s cute for sure, but it’s an NFT.
from a project that donated 1 million USD to free code camp so there’s that at least
the team got asborbed by 9gag’s NFT project called memeland, locked the twitter account and took over all the ethereum contracts and let it die. no bueno. all american devs and artists, paid all their taxes, contributed greatly to the space trying to do some good but got their grass cut by a chinese company that let it die and withheld funds from the team. i only mention the country because its extremely hard to take legal action against them from the US
this is way doper, and its me, and doesnt stand on the shoulders of someone else’s work.
its a photo from my brand hiddenmaterial, which started as a clothing brand that i integrated NFC chips into for a digital layer in 2019. i sold out everything and got everything made locally by Canadian knitting mill Roopa who handles all the production for Supreme and many other large streetwear brands fleece. It benefitted me greatly, i got to work with JS Homestead/Baycrews in Japan and designed several pieces for them. one of my proudest accomplishments. I also produced a video for Roopa highlighting their whole manufacturing and knitting process https://roopa.com/
you can see the video on their front page. sorry for the long post but its a thing that goes way deeper than an avatar for me
i did all the photog, design, sourcing, shipping, customer service, all my self. it was effing hard but i followed through and people still wear and love the clothes i made. The labels and patches were all sourced from a company that makes the embellishments for Team Canada’s olympic uniforms Laven Labels.
i could probably help Elektron upgrade the quality of their offerings when it comes to garms but hey nobody wants to work with a crazy dude from Canada that wants to do things ethically and locally cuz it means they wont make as much money ![]()
Highly inspirational as a little guy starting out and trying to navigate this same journey. Big ups to you fam.
Also, that logo is super dope.
game recognize game

you’re doing mighty fine Winston, so that means alot to me. If you ever want my supplier list for garms i got u. same goes for anyone else trying to do something similar. we need less garbage fast fashion
This was my previous avatar!
I first thought this means you’re also the model, but I guess not?
Haha it’s me! Just a lil younger and a bit more confident version of myself but all this love from the forum is giving me some motivation to dream big again. Thanks gang. you guys and gals keep me sane in this crazy world.
Ps Frances the mute is so good I’ll have to dig out my iPod and have a listen tomorrow along with some atdi
