HW DEALS : Hardware on Sale [no private listings]

Highly vouch for prophet X! Super easy to make a deep patch, feels like cheating. FM a sample with another sample? Yes please. I was blown away with how good it sounded and the quality of the samples. 2.5k is a steal.

If I were in the US I’d scoope this up asap

This is not an adverised deal, but I just purchased a Korg Multi/Poly Module for $749 ($100 off normal price) at Guitar Center, and they gave me that deal even though it is on back order until May 24. Assuming the TT (Trump Tariff) sticks with Japan (which will add another 10% to the price), I wanted to get it now at this lower price before GC and other retailers start upping their prices. I can see this synth going for $1,000 by mid year.

An interesting nugget of info I heard yesterday was that tariffs impact the price as it hits the territory , ie wholesale/distributor cost , not the retail cost … so it might not technically go up a full 10% in terms of retail.

But I’m sure other factors could impact it … extra shipping cost / storage eg.

I’d probably buy 2nd hand for many things.

Tariffs affect/impact retail cost

If it’s fully passed on from the distributor / wholesale … yes
But a retail item of 100 with a tariff of 10% doesn’t necessarily end up at 110 from what I understood from the discussion yesterday.

Take each synth price / store as it comes.
Ultimately if trump adds a tariff on items being imported it’s the America consumer paying the extra if it’s all passed on … that’s without dealing with items built across multiple countries ( like cars )
It’s going to get messy and far too complex to easily discuss / keep relevant on a synth forum . It could all change next week.

how much retail price is impacted by the tariffs is basically a vendor by vendor decision on whether they’d prefer to lose some margin, lose some sales volume, or both…

I’d leave all the tariff talk for the tariff thread! I need deals and I need them bad!

Cheers! I may have accidently fallen for this, arrives tomorrow. Been on the fence for ages, decided against it the last time Thomann had it on offer and regretted after, so couldn’t help myself this time around

Demos and videos makes it seem to sound awesome, great value package especially at that price. Can’t wait

I see Arturia has reduced the price of the Astrolab in a number of US retailers. Sweetwater for instance :

They also just released new firmware for the Astrolab. ( post ) See the speculation after that post to how this might relate to Superbooth.

( Don’t comment about that here. Comment over there. This is a deals only thread. )
