Heyo, it’s that time again! Sorry for the delay, but we’re kicking this next battle with a legendary band: Kool & The Gang. For more than 50 years, this group has been pumping out funk, jazz, disco, pop, and more, which leaves us with a wide discography to sample from. Speaking of sampling, let’s go over some rules.
We have provided three songs from Kool & The Gang to sample. Please feel free to use one or all of them, or bring your own Kool & The Gang song to sample. If you use your own, please share it in the thread so that others can get a peek at what you’re working with.
Allowed:
Outside drums (one shots or loops) 
One outside bass (one shots or synthesized)
One synth/lead (one shots or synthesized)
Unlimited samples from Kool & The Gang tracks
Not allowed:
Any other samples that don’t fit in the above categories. Just take it from a Kool & The Gang song instead.
Track length: 3:00 maximum
onus: Use all three samples provided by the hosts for brownie points (does not contribute to actual competition points).
