Cleaning your synths

Im a big believer in always having a big clean paintbrush handy for brushing off dust, but what do you all use when doing more general cleaning on say keyboards or synths? I’m starting to notice a very mild layer of grime on my polysynth, (nothing heavy) and mostly from my own fingers and hands most likely over time. Keeping gear clean from dust/cat hair etc w/o a dust cover (recommendations?)

To those of you who have a lot of gear, what do you do to keep it clean from dust/cat hair etc? I wouldn’t mind getting dust covers but the fact is at the moment really can’t afford to buy covers for every piece of gear I have, it would be hundreds (probably well over $1000) to get covers for everything I have…I know it seems like a weird problem, too much gear not enough dust covers but that’s where I’m at right now. How to clean my a4 and octatrack safely

Hello , ive not played my a4 and octa and also i dont have desksaver and cause of it they are dirty. I would like to know how to clean em safety. Pleaee give me some advices thanks

Microfiber towels, slightly damp with a very small bit of soap at most, shop towels will also have little fiber content to drop.

You don’t need or want harsh cleansers for the case, it leads to people complaining that their UI came right off

this is how people bathed back in the 60’s and it all worked out for them. except for that woodstock fiasco. and the stones at altamont. but otherwise juuuuusssst fine.

Had the dreaded bootup freeze so had to take off the faceplate - decided to clean it whilst not obstructed by knobs etc, boy there was some crap on it from the previous owner and I thought it was mint lol

Fixed the freeze but now sound is barely audible from any output or headphones so guess need to open it again - the thought of undoing all those screws again lol
