At least that one part of that silly name has any semblance of truth.
I think we all knew you didn’t use it.
I think I turned autocorrect off on iPhone when I first got one a few years ago. It was bad then and sounds worse now. I don’t mind above the keyboard word suggestions (except for when they change between seeing them and the act of selecting one).
But it might have been in Messenger the other day that I first noticed in line auto complete suggestions appearing…. Like opaque text predicting the next two words of your sentence. Except if you just keep typing pushing space seems to accept them, so you have to then backspace to clear it…
I mean, I fucking hate responding to text messages etc, but fuck, if I’m going to then just let me use my own meagre, miserable words to do it.
Maybe you’re just an original thinker. The suggestions it gives you are the most common/likely based on the training data. That’s why if it suggests something, I find a better way to write it.
This is my problem, I am sick of typing stuff to look up and see that only the first couple of words got through and a whole line of nonsense has to be deleted before I can write what I wanted.
My dad once text me saying he’d be late to pick me up because the roads were gay…
(Icy, if you’re wondering.)
I was texting my wife to ask if I should buy chicken breasts, and my iPhone wanted to change it to chicken breastfeeding. True story.
I believe you
I just texted to unplug a tower and it changed it to Obit self! WTF is that?
It’s a cryptic warning from the future.
Roads are very gay, though…
They’re actually bi.
I can’t contribute, I don’t use autoconnect.
I guess you didn’t see what I did.
I did . Maybe I’ll move over to the “this is embarrassing” thread
.
Same thing for me. And I write in French.
It’s becoming more agressive, often pushing random names in unexpected parts of the text.
EDIT : Strangely, it never remebers my name everytime I sign a message.
As long as it’s not your ex name when texting your actual mate.
Conflict-generating algorithm ?
Everything is possible these days.
