Congratulations, mate! Enjoy
How is it?!?!?!
You may have to wait another 5 years for the answer.
Well now.
TastyChips hinted that not only might the new filesystem be back ported to the GR-1, but also the new engines and features, albeit with limitations (no spectral stuff though, but this may be CPU intensive)
In the GR-1 thread :
oops, the redundancy
No that’s cool. It pertains to both synths.
If you own a GR-1 already, or can get one inexpensively, this is a reason to consider not buying the GR-MEGA.
It is reassuring though the way Tasty Chips supports their products.
The GR-MEGA will still have way more to offer.
Maybe in the GR-1 thread someone might comment about having a “mega” upgrade for the GR-1, and what that might mean for sales of all the other granular synths.
My thoughts on this are that it would be ideal for SFX production/foley in a larger TV/film studio environment.
Why limit yourself? It could also be used for a smaller display!
anyone here got one? i can’t spend this much money on a thing but i would enjoy vicariously sharing your joy!
Surprised no review out yet??
They aren’t available yet…
They were briefly very in stock at Perfect Circuit a month or so ago, so there are definitely some out there in the real world.
They shipped some out a couple of weeks ago I believe
There was an update put out today.
New firmware, full release of a manual, and a temporary slow down, that is being fixed, on this months production.
As people who have been reading this thread already know this synth has been shipping in small quantities for a while. E’nauts have already received theirs.
I guess I’ll keep my mouth shut then, carry on
My preorders ready! it’s a black unit in the first batch on the list.
Does anyone know why it says EXPRESS SHIPPING HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, for international coming from Netherlands via DHL?
Just curious bc its a €66 vs €122 price difference.
