Wondering if it’s possible to fm / am / pm one sample with another on GR? Maybe someone heard bout it?
This does look very good. I’m interested to know whether 4 track multi timbral mode lets it work as a groovebox. Otherwise it’s quite large in terms of footprint and cash.

Is has 20 voice polyphony so no voice stealing. Yes a great groovebox

The 64 step sequencer for each track could be groovebox everything or could be a nice sound design add on.

Very nice refinement. Looks like this blows away the Torso box though been a while since I looked at that since release
I think it’s safe to say that each of the new class of granular/whatever synths that has come along each has something to offer. I’m referring to the S-4, Tempera, Groc, and this. Along with the older options, there is a lot to choose from. The GR-MEGA does seem more of a superset though.

T4 is as big a box as I’d want (being like a fat iPad with built in IO and Tactile UI) - before I’d pivot to using a computer if I wanted to really go deep deep on granular.
Still it’s going to be an interesting firmware journey for these recent boxes.
Don’t love the form factor / size and the design also isn’t my favourite, otherwise this looks very good and like the most comprehensive hardware granular synth around.
Lots of great options on the market now to choose an interesting granular synth / groovebox from.

Is anyone here on the early list and getting one soon? I’m pretty tempted but reluctant to buy before it’s in hands in case it’s a turkey…
I was tempted but will wait.
Would like to see more of the sequencer properly since they say its got live use in mind this time around. Its the size of the damn thing - kind of wish they also revised the original with analog inputs

Consider the amount of wait time if you ordered right now, during which you can cancel with full refund if there is a problem with the system.
Plus i think right now the chance of a disaster is pretty close to nil, though i am reasonably sure there will be the early fixes in firmware to be done.

In the meantime, what is a good equivalent to Mega in software world? especially interested in spectral engine, beat slice granular, generally a tool for sound design.

I guess none of you guys got theirs yet but is somebody included in one of the first batches being shipped?
My order number and the fact that I ordered the black version mean that I still have to wait till September, if there are no further delays in assembling. At one point I even forgot, that I preordered it but now I am getting excited.
Have you guys already made up your mind on how to use/integrate the GR-Mega or are you like me, just looking forward to get inspired by noodling with the machine?
