Basically they’re nearly done and are about to start manufacture. They will be doing youtube videos soon. Sounds like this all will be accomplished by next status update in a month.
They are happy with their improvements and changes, so i am looking forward to seeing the videos.
Last i looked that date was when they guessed the last preorder might be delivered. I think they have a very slow ramp up on manufacture, taking time with the early rounds. I think the black ones are also slightly delayed behind the silver in delivery too.
Since you have a deposit, you have all the justification to actually ask them for the latest schedule.
These new engines & modulations together with stereo really move it closer to electroacoustic territories. Spectral, wow.
I just hear some signature sounds in this demo.
@PJO there is a release schedule in the latest update, you should be in it.
Been with this product right along, so i never got what all the impassioned chatter in that other thread was about. There’s been only twenty posts here in that same time, half of them mine.
As usual, there’s good news and bad news. Let’s just start with the bad news. Testing the final casing took its time, and production lead time is longer than expected. Instead of mid April, the first units will now ship late May, most likely. We know this is a fierce setback, also for us. But at least we have the feeling that this is the definitive deadline. We’ve put in orders for the PCB’s now and PCB assembly should start in about 3 weeks. Scroll to the end of this post to find the time table, and see when it’s your turn!
The other thing in the update, is they hint at how many they sold. They are scheduled to ship 72 in the first three batches, and you can’t be sure but it is at least as much for the next three batches, ramping up in the last batch of that what looks a significant amount.
That looks pretty reasonable for such a complicated piece of gear. I’d expect that there will be considerable churn with firmware releases for a while. New surprise features.
From the demos I heard online this version sounds awesome, definitely a big upgrade from the previous machine they made.
Might wait to listen to more users demos or jams before giving my order, but so far I’m impress by own quality sounding it delivers.
