I’ve been an admirer of Glou Glou - particularly the Loupe - but not yet pulled the trigger on anything.
However in these challenging times, liking the look of this.
It seems to be 4 different ‘pedals’
Dub Techno oriented maybe. Or maybe a lot more than that. [EDIT: way more than that]
Kudos to seeing beautiful gear being produced by boutique manufacturers (that I may never buy, though maybe this time … sort of a Vongon feel to some of this, which I have hit the button on).
FL5B - Bright. has a range from 12ms to 470ms, with a maximum clean time of 280ms. begins clipping at 2V peak-to-peak.
FL5D - Dark. has a range from 16ms to 630ms, with a maximum clean time of 350ms. more lo-fi character overall: the tone is more filtered, there are more low-end frequencies, and the feedback is more prone to distortion. starts clipping with a 1V peak-to-peak signal
uses a 256 stage BBD:
(focus: pitch modulation such as chorus, flanger, vibrato, and quasi-ring mod sounds)
FL7 - has more delay time available (from 1.5ms to 34ms), but the sound is more filtered. more natural fit for chorus sounds.
FL9 - much smaller range of times (from 0.4ms to 9ms), but can reach ultra-short times that the FL7 cannot. more suited for flanger sounds
I love that these are voltage controlled. Are they particularly targetting the eurorack crowd or do guitarists frequently find themselves using CV too?
Boy the 5D demo sure sounds tempting. 5B is nice too but didn’t grab me as immediately as the 5D.
