Yeah, matchmaking in Armored Core is slooow, and really died down recently.
I’m just tinkering with builds and replaying missions I liked now. Maybe there will be a big update or DLC soon.
I should go back for some of the hidden parts I missed.

You could also blast through the Halig Tree or something of the sort. I go there when I need to farm a few runes for something.
Good call - that place is absolute murder.
From what I understand very little chance for a DLC but I really like that they’re still tweaking the balance for builds and love that light mechs are absolutely viable in pvp.
Recently got back on AC6 for a little PVP and I was surprised that some of my saved builds had gone from barely viable to pretty strong
One day I think I’ll go back and do another run through the campaign, I know I missed a couple of extras on my first time playing through. The combat feel (and the sound design!) is so satisfying.
Orphan of Kos is harder than any boss from Elden Ring imo. That may be recency bias but I’ll stand by it for tonight.
He’s rough, but if you can get the counter timing down for shooting him out of some of his attacks you can get the fight to be very consistent. It’s kinda like parrying Gwyn.
Just got him! Finally able to land a couple parry’s in the first phase and just kept backing up a ton. Went hyper aggressive second phase (which I couldn’t even get to before) and got it done. Phew!
Orphan was the only boss i couldn’t beat in Bloodborne, I made the mistake of going to NG+ for the DLC and well that really screwed it up when it came to Orphan. I tried to go back when i got a PS5 after not having played the game in years and well my head and eyes cannot handle how bad the framerate is like actively just cannot concentrate on it.
i made the same mistake of starting the dlc in ng+ and it was brutal. i quit for a few weeks. then i remembers last night that i have a save state from getting all endings on my original playthrough and now i’m having a blast
Sony is trying to buy FromSoftware parent company.
Better Sony than MS. Even bettee when they stay independant.
As long as they keep releasing them on PC i’ll be fine, I played Elden Ring on PC and on PS5 and my eyeballs need the extra FPS to function and focus.
Not necessarily. Japanese business now and historically is heavily focused on large conglomerates with banking and other universally useful services in the middle. Being part of the Sony empire will likely give From longevity, particularly at a time when the Japanese economy has largely lost its spot as king of high end electronics and will shortly lose its automotive dominance (outside of US and Europe, Chinese electric cars are the hotness).
I’ve personally had to slap Sony for doing some egregiously stupid stuff (sadly, they didn’t learn their lesson and had a major … problem later due to not actually fixing that fault), but overall they are pretty good.
I wouldnt write them off so quickly. In many regards they will fall on their feet. Playstation is a massive success for Sony, and its a X selling factor for their TV´s. And they know Eldenring was a big hit, because it was different to anything the others did.
Right? Nobody can souls-like quite like the OGs.
I am a little weary of exclusivity in most regards though. I get it in cases where the hardware can limit things, but I think more access for everyone regardless of platform is important. But at the same time being able to focus on fewer systems can yield better results, not unlike focusing on one synth at a time.
I guess I mean I don’t know what this means for their future, but I hope the best. I’m a fan at least.
And bring back Tenchu!
I fucking hope there’s no acquisition, especially not from one of the console makers.
I played also on Steam and PS5, i rather favour an independant company. Maybe they dont realize they sold their game, twice because of that.
I’m just talking from the perspective of someone who has watched endless good game developers turned to shit either over night or slowly over the space for 5 years or so by clueless overlords. Just look at the companies Microsoft snapped up recently.
Lies of P comes really close to feeling like a souls game but yea no one quite gets the movement, i-frames, bosses etc like FromSoft
