Are you hearing the difference or just seeing it on the display?
I can hear it! Btw. when both machines are not playing, identical BPMs are displayed. As soon as you start, BPM drift kicks off.
Ah, too bad. I have seen the DB-01, when receiving clock, display 1 or 2 less, but I couldn’t hear any sync issues.
For my part, no worries as a DN slave for the db01.
Have you tested by reversing the machines in the midi chain ?
Are the machines up to date?
10 BPM is really a lot of drift. Like, not really “drift” so much as “bad midi cable” or something. Do you have anything between them that could be eating or inserting it’s own sync? Have you tried a different cable?
Did not update the DB 01 (1.07), LXR is up to date. Reversing the chain works, but BPM are only displayed as EXT on LXR - does not sound super tight to me.
Different cable - same problem. Nothing in between the boxes that could be responsible for the drift. Looks I am not the only one - lesser Drift here:
With my Rytm, my Keystep and my XD it’s all pretty tight clock on the DB.
I don’t have mine anymore, but the MIDI on it was always super tight.
Get in touch with Erica Synths, sounds like a duff one.
To remove any doubt I will update the Db01,
and if it doesn’t work as @Fin25 says,
contact Erica, they are fast and nice.
Anyway, Erica will ask you to do it.
Returned to Thomann today….
Hey folks, does anyone know the maximum current (in mA) that is consumed by the DB-01?
The included power supply is rated to 1A but presumably even the start-up current draw is nothing close to that. I don’t own a meter to test this.
The reason for the question is that I’m hoping to be able to power it from a 12V/500mA port on a CIOKS DC-7 pedal board.
Thanks all!
Anyone experience issues following firmware update? Now sounds tinny. I actually just updated it after not having played with it for a while so I’m trying to figure out if it’s just me or the unit.
Tried a factory reset but it did not seem to reset. Followed instructions per manual.
No problem with it sounding tinny after update on mine. I have experienced issues trying to apply a firmware update that left the unit incapacitated at boot, but putting it back in update mode and retrying the update until it was successful ultimately sorted it out.
Isn’t the VOL reset at lower level once you do a firmware update?
Have mine on 1.8 and no issue at all.
Volume seems fine. It’s just the sound seems….thinner, higher pitched. Very strange.
Same here and no audio problem.
You can reach Erica Synths, when I did they were very quick and efficient.
Yeah, there’s definitely something awry. I’ve reached out to Erica.
have u knocked your mixer eq ?
plugged in audio lead properly (my AIAI headphones have a weird jack which sometimes means i dont get any bass … which for a prof headphone company is weird)
using stereo lead and not mono (i’m just guessing random things).
tried a fresh pattern ?
