Just to confirm, Windows 11 v. 23H2,Brave browser, dt2, everything seams to work so far. Didn’t do anything yet with file/pattern transfer , since i am new to this need some tutorials
One thing i can’t find is Project part. It does scan +Drive and it sees all samples and folders
Both in Chrome and Brave
There is no buttons in top left corner for Samples/Projects
Using v. 3.2.1
Edit : Switching from Overbridge to Usb Midi in settings solve this issue. Samples/Project button is here now
Oh and now i see i am on v. 3.3b2
Just to confirm, again, pattern/sample transfer works perfectly. No hiccups.
Amazing tool for file management. Thank you @mzero, sending one Bavarian beer your way
elk-herd works with the “current” project, the one loaded in RAM
The “current” project on a Digitakt (I or II) has no name! Sure, the instrument remembers which +Drive project slot you loaded it from, and if you save to another slot you’ll get prompted to give that slot a name, but the name itself isn’t part of the project!
Working with the in RAM project was an early design choice forced by the available access via SysEx on the original DT, 7 years ago… I might revisit that decision now that there is more programmatic access to the +Drive, but it would require some major new work since projects stored in the +Drive are transferred in a different way than the project in RAM.
hey, where should I submit bug reports? I was not sure if it is more appropriate to do it here or on github. I have an issue that I have encountered after using elk-herd to sort samples on digitakt’s +drive into directories, and I thought it might be connected to elk-herd.
Either place is fine, github offers more tracking and support for issues over time as they are worked on without flooding the boards here… So, if you have a github account, I prefer there.
Looking forward to the bug report! (Especially as I’m considering it close to release!)
