TRUTH.
RIP John Peel. (Personal hero, spoke to him in person once, huge influence.)
The OP set seems pretty good. I’ll listen to it properly later. And I dont give a flying one what nervous stage ticks she might or might not have.

I wouldn’t blame the artists, it’s a well known condition that affects a large percentage of DJ’s and producers called twitchyitis
listening to this now. While painting. Really Good stuff. Not heard of Kaishandao before. So thanks for posting.
lol, ok. Performance is about communicating with an audience and you are allowed to express yourself beyond what is required for the operation of a device. But if you want to audit rather than enjoy, who am I to gate-keep?
My good friends Shibamasa use 2 Digitakts, a Digitone, and a Rytm in their live sets. Here’s their Boiler Room X Dommune set. What a view.
Dance world permeated by commercialism? Big news.
I hate boiler room much more for the douchy wannabe dancing behind the supahstars. Can t watch it. Though from time to time they have cool sets to listen to.
Probably a whole generation has RSI because of that game
Warching the sets makes no sense to me. Listening is fine. My ears always tell me what’s worth listening to and what is not. I could care less about the visual. Electronic music has never been a spectator event… lets be honest.
Maybe when you’re on stage playing your own music, and have cameras aimed at you for the whole world to see and are recording for posterity, yeah maybe then you’re allowed to have a few useless movements?
How many of us have been in a similar position to judge anyway?
Feels super weird to analyse such details, I’ve played live 4 times and everytime I’ve caught myself doing weird stuff because of the stress and the adrenaline. And believe me, these were not high pressure gigs.
Good point, well made. I agree
Headless Horseman is the king of BR elektron though!
David Vunk all the way
I always roll the encoders past 127 for about 5 minutes!
Did we get this one in there yet?
Such a classic!
