Iāve started mine and Iāve already used all 8 tracks on Digitakt and Iāve only used one of native sample tunes and havenāt put ambience over it yet either so Iāll have to use Ableton as well cos I need at least two more tracks.
Hate it when that happens but Iām really trying to fight the Digitakt2 gas

And you canāt fix it with sample locking? As in you really need more than 8 voices at the same time?

TBH my game is not so tight that I have an arrangement fully formed in my head. Sometimes I need room to work and shuffle shit around before I donāt feel sad listening back to my progress.
I guess other times itās a more linear process but with multiple sample sources like this itās less of a science, for me at least.

Not really to be honest mate, but thatās what I usually do.
in the spirit of remaining incognito by giving too much of a descriptionā¦
Iāve got something happening on track 5 making up a main part, track 6 has elements that accompany it that have to play with it 100% of the time to make it sound right,
Similar story for track 7.
Track 8 has some Native tongues Vox.
Tracks 1-4 kick, hat, snare, bass.
So on this occasion if I want to stick with what Iāve done so far thatās not gonnna work just because of how itās arranged

I think I went through a phase of being very very lucky haha.
But yeah I donāt know why I donāt just go ahead and get one, in the back of my mind I know itās an eventuality and itāll save all the anxiety between now and then

Yeah Iāve been really enjoying these samples! Amazingly I think Iām pretty much done early which never happens. Turns out having hardly any free time and being really stressed with life stuff has made me really use the little time I have. Looking forward to hearing the whole mixtape

Glad to see that the hardcore team is still there and news faces too.
Will not participate to this one but looking for the next one maybe if I find time.

Listening back to a few patterns from last week and I think the main idea is there. Have some ideas for elements I should add/further development but will see how that goes. Will probably need to do some annoying resampling to free some tracks for that to happen tho.

I had quite a hard time finding an acapella with a good enough quality and one that fitted my beat. But nonetheless I had a lot of fun and the battle really reignited my love for de La soul
