Elektron.se can't login to site / Can't register devices

Hello,

I have a problem with login to elektron.se.
Already tried password reset 3 times, 2 different browsers, MacOs and Windows. Nothing.
I can’t contact support because to contact support first I need to login. Seems like catch 22. Would appreciate some help with that.

Today, I can’t login to my elektron.se account. The automated response from the usercare mail advices me to login and create a support ticket…

you need to re-register with your email

Why is that?
I have registered several products to my account. I don’t want to lose them.

they revamped the website with the DN2 launch, there was a thread about it:

your account should transfer over, I can’t see my devices yet though, I think it’s not finished

but all the account details were correct after this process

I waited to today to login and it did as you experienced, but it was straightforward re-registering with the same credentials

the only flagged up issue was that my device database wasn’t pulled in, but everything else was - i got the impression it was work in progress, perhaps automated, i don’t know - curious if others found this too (edit -echoed above!)

I got the same impression. When looking at orders, I had the correct history, so I guess the account is considered the same as my earlier one. I guess it will be sorted out soon. Wait and see…

What’s going on with the Elektron device registration page?
This ‘update’ seems to take longer than expected… still no ‘reboot’ message.

Do you need to register? Resale is easier if you dont. If you need a repair register then.

Nonsense.
You can very easily remove a device, I have never encountered a case where registering was harming a sale.

Website is still a bit buggy, contact Elektron support if you can to report it.
Alternatively you can use the email support@elektron.se

Sell…?? Why…?? 🫣😉

And as Elektron devices don’t use an online activation, I don’t see why a registered device should be less easy to sell.

At this point I don’t need a repair, but in case I do, it’s better to have it registered.

I have. I sold the Octatrack Anniversary Edition(regret). And the buyer and me had to do several emails to Elektron to authenticate it as their system was playing up. It would have been easier if i hadnt. But its a case of once bitten.

Still, what was the actual problem…?

Does the Octrack require online registration and activation before you can use it?

I only have a DT, DN and ST. None of them require any sort of activation, like for instance Maschine+ that needs to ‘call home’ before playing.

[EDIT] apparently @avantronica merged my post with another topic. So maybe my ‘initial post’ seems like a ‘reply’ out of the blue.

There are no online components, the new user was having issues registering the S/N in their name post resale due to whatever hiccup in Elektron’s back-end.
