Oh, these are sounding incredible! Will pick these up for DT in the near future I’m sure (currently trying to not be distracted by too many options).
Normally I’d ask for Digitakt chains too, but with the recent develpment of @brian3kbhttps://digichain.brianbar.net I’d probably create my own chains depending on my mood or current project requirements.
Or go where random import takes you, choose the chain length, then drag-drop in the folder(s) of samples while holding the Shift key down to get a random selection of samples up-to the chosen chain length (there’s also shift+click the ‘reset sort/order’ button to randomize the list order).
These are all samples, not synth patches. So basically, not compatible with a MD MK1 non-UW. However I will be adding SysEx kits compatible with all MD models.
I rarely buy Sample Packs but I will buy this one. In a way, I will reacquire an MD on my DT or OT. Colossal work and it sounds amazing. Congrats on the release and thank you for that.
Just when I thought I had finished building Tracks for an upcoming Live act…
Sounds great, but I’m doing NGNY and I also have an MDUW… so yeah, I’ll be grabbing this (and likely a few other sets) come the new year. My mates will be asking what I’m doing for the bells and I’ll be like “I’m getting pished and buying sample packs!!!”…
So the one-shots are provided in 24-bit 48khz and 16-bit 48khz, and so aren’t compatible with the Octatrack straight our of the box (easy to convert though). However, the sample chains are provided in 16-bit 44.1khz. The logic being that most Octatrack users will want to use the sample chains rather than the one-shots to save space in their sample lists and allow for crazy choppy times. Personally, I’m not fussed about 48khz either, but I guess that little bit less aliasing means slightly higher quality.
Woah, what a wonderful thing to say, thanks so much!! Hit me up if you need a hand converting those one-shots,
For those who could do with file conversion assistance - I recommend a free program called MediaHuman to convert You can drag entire folders into it and it does them all in one go (even sub-folders), and it can delete the original files as it goes. It even keeps the names and tags of the original files, it’s a gem of a program and so easy that even I can use it! I’m probably a bit old-fashioned but simple, powerful batch conversion still thrills me.
