God another monomachine would be time pulled it out and plugged it in today forgot how fkin amazing it is https://instagram.com/p/Bdb5pmGHgwL/
Iāve got all the Elektron boxes, but MnM is still my favorite. Got a second one as a backup last year. One MnM is awesome. Two is deadly. behold the power of dual MnMās! no external processing or edits, just the stereo out of the machines summed together and put into a compressor.
suffice to say, if they have a MnM successor in the works, Iāll jump on it asap
Iām expecting (hoping for) some major Volca news at NAMM. A lot of places seem to be clearing out Volca inventory at the moment. I wonder if mkiiās are coming. I have fallen back in love with my Volca Keys, Bass, and Kick, so glad I didnāt sell them. Dirty, primitive, and unstable in a good way. I find myself wanting the Beats, so fingers crossed for a mkii.
I donāt think this is accurate
Last night I though the MD in DT format would be tasty.
Iām predicting an Analog One in the same form factor and at the same price point as the DT.
Apologies if my post was ambiguous, I was referring to the anniversary trade-in offer:
Ah! It appears I was mistaken! Thanks!
Yes have to say a new monomachine like digital synth with lots of modulation options sources decent patch handling and the new elektron sequencer with per step patch selection % trigs etc would be the proverbial mutts nutts.
please yes please god!
Oh yes Iād be up for a synthesist, performance oriented mixer. Compact mixers with a decent amount of stereo channels are inexistent. Doubling mono channels takes so much space and 2 hands to tweak a send or EQ. Stereo sends are pretty much inexistent too, or you have to go to DJ mixers which have limited channel count (and are totally overpriced).
Iām using Mackie mixers because of their routing flexibility, using 4 busses as 2 stereo sends. Analog Heat on the first, Eventide Space on the second. With the channel bus routing buttons I choose which channels are sent to them and whether they 're used as insert or send effects. Elektron can definitely pull this kind of thing into the 21st century.
I think we should do a pollā¦should we make a poll?
Options to vote for:
New Monomachine in DT form
Analog One with lots of knobs and sliders, less menus
Mixing Desk with FX
Which mackie do you have? Iām scouting out a 1202VLZ4 myself
Edit: What i would really love is something like the 1202 with a multimode filter on the master, or on each channel, and as Iām writing this i see the price-tag increasing on my dream
In the new form factor.
If they do that, itāll fk me all up.
Iād certainly have to get a grey trinity.
Like it has been said previously, a working Overbridge 2.0 is more than enough for me! BUT if dreaming away, I agree, an Elektron made specialised granular poly would be aaaaaawesome. There are of course way to do it already, but hey, it would be the catās pajamas.
I also think another effect box would be awesome. A creamy analog chorus/flanger/phaser something-something like the Warped Vinyl or anything Chase Bliss really. Or a completely digital reverb/delay (I donāt need it personally, but Elektronās verb/delays sound reallly good).
Anyway, whatever it is, keep it up Elektron!
Waldorf has done that granular polyā¦4000ā¬ starting price this end month release. Very impressive machine!
Wow, yes Thatās impressive indeed. I wonder how the resonator works! That would also be a cool box. Like Abletonās resonator, but in an Elektron Box. Also awesome?
But if you take away the keys, that HUGE screen and couple of other bells and whistles, maybe the price would be reachable for more people, I donāt know
Iām coming from a 802VLZ3 which has a nice routing trick with the mute button. It routes that channel to the alt-outputs which gives some flexibility. But I needed more and got the 1642VLZ4 with its 4 mono busses / 2 stereo busses and more auxes.
would this new Monomachine mk3 be analog? the former were digital boxes yeah?
