so those two screw holes are where you secure your Digitone module?
This photo is suspiciously flipped.
I think itās to fix the DT on VESA system
Yeah it really depends on what sort of music you want to make. The kind of sequencing I do is way too much hassle to achieve with analogue step sequencers, especially since it involves polyphonic sounds, pattern switching and program changes within one arrangement.
Itās kinda funny to think theyāre essentially running the entire Digitakt on the same processor as in my Amiga. Sure, those ColdFires run a bit faster, but stillā¦
They sure do have a very nice 26-pin header for a daughter board right there on the main PCB⦠![]()
wow, yeah, whatif digitone is an extension board for the digitakt? Maybe I need to buy a DT after allā¦
This would actually possibly get me to pick up a Digitakt, although only a 1 set of stereo outs would kind of limit the whole box.
Itās two mono outs if you want it to be? Plus full multitracking via OB
How many outputs did the og MnM have?
That seems extremely un-elektron-like.
What does seem likely is a range of Digitakt-size boxes that use the exact same bottom case with the exact same mainboard, bit that have different top plates with another control layout.
You could easily run a āDigitoneā on the same microcontroller, or use it for a stereo āDigifektā since thereās already a stereo input on there.
3 stereo pairs / 6 mono outs. OB is great for people that want it, but the whole point of hardware for me is to be able to play and route without a computer.
I donāt think this is happening but the UW kit was initially offered as an upgrade to Machinedrum owners. Had to send it to Elektron though.
Now please give me my next fix of teasers
it sounds fugginā dope
People, calm down. There will not be any new Elektron hardware. Just Overbridge and probably an iOS app. āDigitoneā was patented because it was available and they were considering it as a name for what became the Digitakt.

What about that teaser vid tho? Canāt see those sounds being made on any of the current machines.
Oh, youāre guessing. You should have included āI thinkā with what you said.
