Hello!
This is my first post on the forum.
Excuse me for my english.
I have a question:
Can I run my AR with the foot controller? (start/stop midi messages)
For example, MIDI Solutions Footswitch Controller (http://www.midisolutions.com/prodfsw.htm).
In some situations, uncomfortable to press the PLAY button.
Checked this briefly and seems like the footswitch you mentioned only sends start/stop commands, no midi clock. This might work if you configure the AR ātransport receiveā to the on position, but unfortunately cannot test this as I donāt have a footswitch like the one you mentioned.
Start/Stop messages doesnĀ“t include Midi Clock which OP didnĀ“t ask for either. Just Start/Stop or Tap Tempo (MidiClock) will be possible with that gadget from MidiSolutions.

Thanks!
Why MIDI Solutions Dual Footswitch Controller?
MIDI Solutions Footswitch Controller has the same function (Start/stop or Tap Tempo).
In the dual unit, youĀ“d have each function aviable on separate footswitches. In the basic āsingleā footswitch, youĀ“d have to choose one function. It would be enough to run only Start commands, if you never plan to change tempo in realtime but instead just go with the defined bpm settings in your units.
IĀ“d go with the dual, if the cost isnĀ“t an huge factor. There are always something else that could be useful for the second switch if you ever need itā¦
I use a KMI 12step to controll my whole rig. I also have some programs for the RYTM which are:
Triggering voices: Set global quantize high, press liverecord and jam out playing keys with your hands and creating a drum pattern with your feet.
Scene changes: this one is obviously very handy(feety?)
Chromatic mode: play some bass with tour feet. I also have a program that controls the chromatic mode on the RYTM+My sub37 for layered stuff.
Mutes: Feety as fuck.
Iām sure there are other fun ways I havenāt thought of too.
Hi Dream-Synthesizer, how did you program the 12step to send mutes ? I want to do it with A4.
Also, did you manage to send āpattern change to the next oneā midi message ?
Thanx.
Thank you a lot.
According to the manual, multi map allows each key to change to its own pattern (i. e. C1 = A01, C#2= A02), I tried and it does work, but not a SINGLE key to change pattern to the next one (i. e. C1 = A01, C1 pressed again = A02ā¦)
Does anyone know if there is a solution for this ?
