This is very well designed. Suoer cool idra and execution. Thanks for sharing bud.
@jdaddyaz thanks!
So i started messing around with real synth design, so far i got this - https://labs.onether.com/tb303-4.html
Keep in mind it’s still far from being close to 303. But i would appreciate i anyone can mess around with parameters and give some feedback.
Cheers dudes!
Super cool idea, well done
Unless I’m missing something so far seems like quite a limited set of genre tags, any plans to expand them?
Would love to see drum and bass, uk garage, funk, soul and many more.
Also finding it so far a bit challenging to browse, would really help to have some collection tags/lists to be able to look at a bunch of related beats together
Thanks for making this!
Reminds me there was a thread a few years back with drum patterns transcribed to use conditional trigs
Maybe an idea for another angle to extend things here ![]()
Well, i probably should add more categories or dedicated tagging system. But then i want to keep things simple and not have hundred categories for every subgenre and overwhelm users with many choices. DNB could easily go to breakbeat category, uk garage to electronic, funk and sould to r&b Am i wrong? ![]()
If you want to see more similar beats to any specific one, click on the title of the beat - then at the top of that page you can click drum machine name, bpm or scroll down a bit to see suggested similar beats. I agree that this need some more work.
Update on TB-303 synth. It’s now available on the website. Still work in progress.
Here is my failed attempt at New Order - Confusion - New Order – Confusion – Drum Patterns
Here you can mess around with it - Create – Drum Patterns (controls for cutoff, resonance etc. are under last icon with sliders, the one after magic wand)
most excellent work!
thank you! I really like how you can pick different drum machines to try things out. I am digging the EMU SP-12, Oberheim DMX, and Alesis SR-16 drum synth models a lot. Now to sample them into my Octatrack and SP 404 MK2 and DAW.
Thanks.
I can send you samples if you want, but keep in mind i have them heavily compressed to fit as many as possible in the browser’s cache/local storage.
that would be appreciated! Your work is magnificent! I mean a complete library of not only drum and bass patterns but emulations of the great drum machines of the past and TB303 as well. Really helps me understand what drum and bass sounds and patterns I need to create various songs.
