Dreadbox Nyx Reissue

This video is pretty representative of the Nyx sound:

Yeah, was already being discussed in the Dreadbox NYX - Analog Paraphonic Semi Modular Synthesizer

Okay, finally caved and ordered a reissue. It’s too good of a deal for such an awesome synth. I really felt like the Nyx was alive when I had it and always regretted selling…

This is good news. After our brief conversations about it, id always rooted for you picking up another one. Id love to know how you like the differences between the reissue and the V1> I wish mine had Noise in the patchbay, thats gotta be cool on the Nyx! Congratulations, and i wanna hear about it when youre back on it.
At the price of the reissue im tempted to pick up a second one and poly chain em.

Will definitely let you know! As of now, I haven’t found too much on youtube using the Nyx reissue where I think it shines, as a drone synth. Looking forward to hearing how it stacks up too (especially the new reverb).

Is their website the only place to get this right now?

Is it possible to filter out signal coming to reverb, like to cut of low frequencies?

Upd: checked out manual, seems not possible, but it says the more time dialed in the brighter reverb is. Not sure how it works in action tho, especially on bassy patches.

That’s where I ordered mine. Haven’t found anywhere else (Stateside)

Hey @Jacob,

Have you had a go at it yet? What are your thoughts?

I actually got it for Christmas but haven’t assembled it because I want my daughter to help or put it together entirely. She really likes mechanical puzzles so it should be a blast. Will report back when up and running:)

Does anyone know if it is possible to calibrate it such that the “CUT” input will track 1v/oct? Mine is relatively close but not usably close.
