We proudly celebrate our 10 years of operation and we invite you to a unique musical event to honour our journey in the music industry.
The event will take place on Saturday, November 2, 2024, at 20:00, at Arch Club Live Stage, in the heart of Athens.
The evening will begin with the unveiling of our most ambitious synthesizer we have created to date â an instrument that embodies all of our experience as well as our love of sound, technology and music.
The event will feature:
Live performances from top international artists.
DJ sets - electronica sessions.
Product showcase from Dreadboxâs 10-year history, showcasing products that have influenced thousands of musicians around the world.
After each show, there will be prize draws, featuring individual products from our collection, as a small thank you to all our friends and supporters.
The Dreadbox team will be present to thank everyone who supported their vision over these past 10 years.
well isnât the Murmux Adept already beyond the Abyss, as far as capabilities? if theyâre unveiling their âmost ambitious synthesizerâ yet, I doubt it would carry the name Abyss. could always be wrong though!
Murmux is pretty much Abyss 2.0 imo. Maybe they made a version of it that has a better form factor, a few less special features and design elements, but maybe more effects/voices, multitimbrality or a keyboard.
A few years ago there was a leak of an 8-voice Abyss V2 chassis that could be seen in a Dreadbox workshop tour. The project may have been cancelled, but it could also be this new synth.
After all these years I still have both of my Abyss.
One is used daily and the other is stored.
I did an A/B between both a while back and neither
of them have the same sound even at the same settings.
These were the only Dreadbox products I ever bought.
So do we all agree that Artemis is the final product of what started as the Abyss 2 prototype? Or do you think thereâs a chance theyâre still working on that?
@MarkPigott: Thatâs really great! Were you ever tempted to get a Murmux or Artemis instead, so that you donât have to mess with two Abyss any longer?
I think I called it a day for Dreadbox after the Abyss as they were so different.
I originally bought to create an 8 voice but they could not be set up to sound
8 notes consistently.
However they worked well as a stereo 2 VCO 4 voice, by running as a left panned right panned set.
And monster as an 8 VCO mono detuned mode.
I have had both since 2018 and as they are small they are easy to store
when they are not being used.
