i wish drambo had something like a presentation mode that i know from max, where you can choose only the modules you want to see when performing
You can kind of already do this. Put everything in an instrument rack and press on the header of the modules you don’t want to see and enable hidden in compact view. Then once you press the two triangles at the top right of the instrument rack to go into compact view any modules you have enabled this for will disappear.
I wanted to write the same thing. I’ll just add that in addition to hiding whole modules, you can also hide, for example, only one knob from one module (double-tapping a knob brings up its settings).
Man, how long has that been there and how did I miss it?! Thank you for enlightening me.
I finally connected my Drambo iPad with Ableton (in my case on Windows). I was hesitant for a year, because I didn’t want to get into buying the more expensive plugins from the grown-up world. I finally did open that door, and also bought the iConnectivity Audio4C to connect both worlds.
It still required latency adjustment (there’s this amazing tool by gravitas: https://patchstorage.com/latency-adjuster-tools/), and now it simply works.
Here’s a track that wouldn’t have been possible without the two worlds:
Hosted by Drambo (PurePiano, GeoShred, OneShot), and sequencing Ableton (Repro-5, MusicLab’s RealLPC, several Spitfire orchestral libraries, and Tympo).
Does anyone know of a good guide for how you can set up controllers in Drambo?
I know of a few people using Launchpads etc, but there doesn’t seem to be a good guide anywhere
They are working on a big update and it is still unreleased. I‘ve read about bidirectional midi feedback and mappings per track. People who have beta access maybe can say more.
Do you know if this update includes the midi mapping of the steps ?
Damn that’s huge !
Oh that’s perfect!
FUCK!
Yeah, into this.
Always wanted something like this for drambo, such a sick program but always want to tap some things in on a controller with tight integration.
Do we know if it will be supporting different things per step like probability and velocity etc that we can edit on the controller?
When is this to be released?
I made this video about 4 years showing off AUM+Drambo+LaunchpadX
link is in the description as well.
Never thought I’d be so excited to be a lapsed Drambo user with a LaunchPad X sitting in storage.
I’ve thought for some time that tight hardware integration was a huge opportunity for Drambo (and iOS music apps in general). If they can pull this off in a way that feels integrated and bespoke, it will be huge.
is this in beta or just initial testing? hyped!
Hi everyone, I’m seeking for help.
I’m trying to make a piezo driven instrument in drambo but I have inconsistencies.
After a bit of fiddling around I tried the factory impaktors project. Everything runs smoothly, triggers register just fine and are very expressive.
As soon as I replace any sound module with a sampler I get missing trigs.
Any hints at what to insert between the transient detector and the sampler to get a better result ?
Thank you very much.
Post up a screengrab of your rack
I’m in a similar situation, where I have a handful of patterns and the automation far outnumbers the patterns. I was curious if anyone has found a solution for this kind of composition.
Possible options that I can think of are:
- I’ve come across MIDI Tape Recorder, but haven’t tried it yet.
- I could record the track and automate live, repeat for each track that is using automation.
- Set a clip to its max length and record the automation, then make a new pattern/row identical to the previous, and keep recording automation. But this would complicate step conditions and such.
Are there other options?
