Here’s another variation. This time using a Transient Detector to advance a CV Sequencer. The output from the CV Sequencer turns on/off the Freeze function (depending if the CV step is fully on or fully off). You can can some interesting variations by changing the number of CV steps. You could add further CV Sequencers to modulate the Size/Speed of the Buffer Repeater.
I’ll see you in Drambo-court mate, my lawyers are all over this shit
Great thinking!
Maybe a switch to flip between envelope or transient… or controlled by a square wave LFO. Or any other crazy shit you can think of!
What is the envelope follower doing in this patch? I don’t see any connections
Hi all,
I’m looking for some help if anyone can spot the user error in Drambo
I would like to map CC knobs in Drambo to use the crossfader octatrack style.
My first thought was to map the FX block filter frequency on my Syntakt.
In Drambo: I take a regular “default” midi to CV track. I add a “Midi CC controller”. I tap on the channel and I select “Midi output” to Syntakt and Channel 13. I then set the CC knob module to send value
CC70.
Nothing happens…
I set the input to Syntakt and use the learn function, knob moves when I move it on the syntakt.
I turn off Learn mode and turn the knob in Drambo, nothing happens.
Not sure what I’m missing :-/
I tried it in Ableton, CC70 on Ch13, Ableton controls Syntakt, glorious days there. So feels like I’m just missing a setting somewhere in Drambo.
Any idea?
Try CC Generator module instead!
With a Midi Ouput module after.
Use MIDI monitor module to check it!
Looking at it, dumb question. CC Generator doesn’t have a knob. Just CC and Channel? How do I change the value then?
Use midi generator multi and map the knob to the crossfader. Double tap the know to set cc and channel
It’s the clock for the CV sequencer. I think
It worked now with the multi, thanks both @BoutiqueCase and @Laser for supporting!
You need to connect something up to it, could be a Knob, Slider, Button, LFO, Env Follower, etc.
The Multi is good for doing a lot of CC’s on one channel. A single Generator is more flexible!
Thanks both!
Hadn’t even thought about looking in the maths menu!
Ha ha yeah the title put me off too
But it does contain a fuck-ton of very useful modules!
I sold my iPad a couple months back, as cool as it was with Drambo I just couldn’t gel with it physically, always felt awkward to play holding it or putting it on a table in front of me… Just got an iPhone to replace my old Samsung and I have to say I am really pleasantly surprised with how Drambo handles on the smaller device. Everything is easily accessible and nothing is too small.
One issue I’m having is that the Tools at the bottom beneath the keys/pads, “TRK PAT PST” disappear when I rotate the screen to landscape, and do not return when I rotate the screen back… Is there something I’m missing?
I’d be happy to stay in portrait but it’s kind of a pain for using AUv3s…
Same here. If you’ve saved and reload they come back in vertical orientation. You can still access TRK & PAT in horizontal. I think you can do bug reports at the website?
It is pretty crazy to have all this on a little phone.
Doesn’t work for me, they still disappear on rotation.
Bug report sent anyhow.
Ah that’s too bad. Hope it gets solved quickly.
Ah! Just learned you can drag the arrow above the undo button to resize the keyboard panel, problem solved!
