The only people to benefit are those that make use of tax havens and they spent fortunes persuading people it would bring them herds of unicorns and riches instead of more poverty, food supply shortages and complexity. Itās like being in a prison colony.

I was interviewed for this feature and only wish I could have found a positive slant on it but couldnāt. It also has an impact on this very forum and others in terms of sales too, of course. Itās meant that Iāve completely abandoned the idea of buying even second-hand items from anyone outside the UK now. Itās such a dispiriting situation.

Could not have been cocked up much worse, the UK government and opposition and the EU are all equally at fault IMHO, it could have been much more amicable and mutually beneficial, but it became a war of wills, and petty mindedness that will have impacts on both economies for years to come.

by the wayā¦ what about the rest? Do you have vegetables and stuff again or are supermarkets still struggling filling up rhe empty spaces?
And sending anything to the EU is out for me as well, the forms are brutal. I did it once and that was enough.
And the reverse is true for me unless itās something small that can come back via hand luggage.

It depends where you are, Scotland has had it worse it seems. Itās not all empty shelves here, but there are often plenty of gaps and prices have gone up significantly especially for fruit and veg, the cost of food, electricity and gas has all gone up a lot and will see a lot of families struggling over the winter. We have a banker in charge of our health service as well which is being eroded and slowly privatised. I canāt stand it here anymore, we are being asset stripped by a set of wealthy/corrupt tossers that are operating beyond the law. Only a Revolution can save us now, but I donāt see that happening in my lifetime, the media have firm control over the narrative. Many people still think theyāre doing a good jobā¦

If you need help moving to Europe / Germany ā¦ we got some space. But gas / electricity is also going up rapidly here (also seems to be a new political / energy war against Putin ā¦ we already have a pipeline to Russia ready that is not getting a ālicenseā)

It really is, Iāve basically shut down from it all now, everytime I hear what they are doing next it just fills me with despair. If Scotland gets independence Iāll likely move up there, Iām half Scottish so I should be ok for residency I hope. We have twice as many food banks than mcdonalds and there are people that think thatās a good thingā¦

reverse is true for meā¦ I wonāt even consider buying anything (new or used) from the UK and bringing into Spain, its just not worth the hassle.
only exception was getting friends/family bringing stuff over but with travel restrictions thats also been unreliableā¦ so gave up on that mostly.
looking on the bright side, means Iāve searched and found more EU suppliers, and my Spanish and German is improving 
but yeah, I do feel sorry for the small businesses in the UK, the internet had provided them with the ability to market to the whole EU, and shipping was cheapā¦ and thats all been thrown away.
Im sure is fine for the big companies who can put systems in placeā¦ but never the small guys.

Yeahā¦people like to talk about voters being scammed and swindled. I think for a lot of people, white supremacy is a top priority, stability be damned, and these corporate and political leaders reflect their desires.
I donāt know. I oscillate on the issue every day.
