Digitone II Feature Requests

Feature request:
Firmware update 1.15 with a new machine

What about… a FILL track, so one could sequence some automated fills on top of the performatic part of it.

And you’re not using overbridge?
With ableton Live I can’t seem to find those audio tracks you’re refering to.

Random arp/note generator (based on chosen key/scale), similar to what the Hapax can do in mono or chord, great for happy accidents.

How would this differ from a track with all of the trigs set to FILL? Maybe a fill mode that can be set for the track to save the time of setting all trigs to FILL?

What I meant is sequence the FILL button ā€œpressingā€

Ohhhhhhhhh

I can use OB occasionally for certain things, but normally I don’t need it for multitrack monitoring and recording.
I think you’ll have to google for how to configure a multi channel interface in Live so all the tracks show up in input selectors. Bitwig somehow did it for me.

Are you using the latest firmware? It wasn’t acting as a multi channel USB interface with the factory firmware, it has been added some months ago.

I really wish they added option to use 7/8 and 3/4 measures so that they would loop from the start of the pages. I would not mind a single bit losing couple trigs per page seeing we already have 8 pages. It’s currently IMO unbearable to try to use anything other than 4/4. It could be an option to toggle.

Im on 1.10A, isn’t that the latest? Only one stereo channel for me.

Looks like there’s a later one 1.10C

I have no idea if that makes a difference to your problem though

I know how to activate and select inputs from an interface in Live, but when using Digitone 2 as an interface I only have one available stereo channel …
Guess I’ll do some research

If I remember correctly they released the drivers which you had to install for USB multitracking and it was called OB just without the app. So try installing the latest OB. Make sure to use Digitone as a clock (or Live via midi) because the clock from Live is wonky over just USB without the OB app.

I’d like to be able to change the level of individual notes within the arpeggiator. The option is there to do it but it has no effect whatsoever as far as I can tell.

  • The ability to assign Amp/Filter envelope to additional destinations other than Volume/Cutoff.
  • Multi stage envelope gererator as a mod source, with looping between two points in the sustain phase and adjustable speed.
  • Swappable LFO/Envelope generator as a mod source. So you can have 2 LFOs and 1 EG, or 3 EGs, or 3 LFOs, etc.
  • Multiple destinations for a mod source with depth per destination.
  • Deform parameter for LFOs which changes LFO shape. For the square wave, it can act as PWM. Surge XT LFO is a good reference.
  • qol: shortcut to the last tweaked parameter in that long mod destination list.

I don’t even need more mod sources.

I reckon this one will happen for all the digis. That MOD button on the IIs suggests some now modulation sources in the future, exciting stuff.

The ARP timeline changes the note rather than the note, but it would be cool if you could choose what to map it to.
