I think it means that I need to get a Syntakt :stuck_out_tongue:

Strum/humanize feature for chords

Yeah if the DN just added the filters the DT/ST have, it would be a huge improvement.

The peak filter + base/width filter addition to the DT absolutely turbocharged it.

This would be great for midi as well

Two more LFOs please!

+1 for the peak filter

an even dimmer LED setting, or a % setting from off to max.

at night on low LED brightness, astigmatism makes me see double the button labels.
(i enjoy creating when its dark :content:)

slewed noise waveform for the LFO would be massive

20 search results for Macros. Ill join in!

would love to see a macros page where you can assign 8 parameters of your choice.
i want to create a custom sound design page with my most used parameters.

imagine adjusting OP Level and Ratio Offset at the same time :aw:
completely new way to design and find new sounds!

love this, at the moment I use my EC4 for macros with aftertouch/modwheel/breathcontroller mods, I have a template for each track, and it’s also possible to do the same with midi loopback and a midi track, but to have it built somehow with a dedicated menu would be awesome

btw you can also change the at/mw/bc level from the mod serup menu with the track level knob, but these menus hard to reach and it’s almost impossible to use them fluently

fluent is the perfect word for what i want more of in DN :+1:

1/
New algos with harsh, crispy, chaotic, degraded sounds.
Now every sound algo is optimized for creamy, smoothed and polished kind of synths sound.
No crisp, no sizzle. Even metallic sounds are mellow.
Just listen to MD and MNM to hear what is missing in DN.
Algo with double feedback would be nice.
2/
MIDI loopback internally.
Using the MIDI tracks for controlling internal tracks is a great option to add extra LFO controls, sound modulations via macros or extra tracks.
You can even control FX with LFO and tracks which is the holy grail feature of the original Elektron Trinity.
Now it is only possible with a physical MIDI cable.
Would be a nice and easy add-on to add ā€œinternalā€ to the list of MIDI channels like i1-i2-i3-i4-iFX.

DN has a soft initial sound that I don’t really like but once you mess with ratio offsets (especially this !) and audio rate modulations with LFOs, all the sounds you describe will start to happen.

@Jeanne has a real nice sound pack for harsh aggressive sounds.

(heyyyyyy thank you so much for the mention  here’s the video for the pack, it’s in parts harsher than the ā€œedge diverā€ song  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VEQMKyHLR8g )

audio example, raw sound directly from the machines, no samples used
DN is nice but MD can go higher.
and believe me, master EQ on MD already cut off a lot of high frequencies

not sure if it’s possible but would love to have the external ins sent to the fx full wet, i.e. no need to add in gain to send something to reverb, right now you have to add gain so you always get some dry signal.

I haven’t used the ext ins yet, but in the sound settings, global or per pattern, you can set it up so only the FX out are routed to the stereo out. Looking at the routing diagram in the manual, it looks like that with only FX returns activated, any dry gain from the ext in amp should not go to the stereo out.

that’s for internal tracks or you can choose not to send fx to main, the ext in are not available in that menu unfortunately, but that’s exactly what I’d like to have

btw that’s another good idea, having an option to send internal tracks to fx in full gain, so that the track/amp level would control how much dry you want but the sends would not be affected by the track level/amp level

Ah I see. Unless I missed it, there’s no mention (or indication on the Sound Architecture diagram) in the manual of dry gain from the ext in mixer being passed directly through the FX return paths.
