Digitakt OS 1.50

I read about the update yesterday and immediately bought a Digitakt. I already have the dark trinity so this is the fourth member of my Elektron family.

Question!

I didnt get the chance to update yet. But is it possible to put sample chops (of a sample not on grid) with p-locks on grid at for example 35bpm. Resample that and use the slice mode in a project on 87bpm, will it still work? Or does the tempo change f*** it up?

Would be nice as a work around to live record those chops!

oh, man. i’m in Atlanta for work and didn’t bring any gear for the hotel. i’ve never wanted to get back to my frozen home so bad but i’ve got a lil DT buddy that needs a brain upgrade.

i bookmarked a ton of the tips y’all have been sharing tho, so thanks for all of those

If I’m not mistaken, I also see a new price bump in the US - $950 for Digis now.

Can’t stop Elektron :fire:

I’ve just suggested ā€œMachine: Loopā€. It would be insane!

Hi there,

is it possible to lock a key and timestretch ?

This would be rad!

That’s what Ableton Live has been all about since the very first incarnation, look up the Warp/Loop Clip functions while in Pattern view.

Kind of, they call it werping because it is more rudimentary way of warping or timestreching a sample. But yeah you can play back whatever key/pitch you like… not totally sure what you mean by ā€œlock a keyā€ I guess.

Held off from commenting as often easy to ride the hype wave but the update plus today’s announcement are fantastic.

This really does put the DT into proper OT Lite territory. And for how I used the OTs I owned in the past, I think the 1.5 update just about covers it. Perhaps I’d only miss adjustable slices - but then fixed grids always had a way of getting you into surprising spaces.

Trying to avoid watching videos for now. Could do without the GAS. If they ever made a portable version of the DT though - my word, I wouldn’t be able to resist at all!

Agree, everything is possible with werk arounds, people just whine about missing features and don’t wanna do the werk. The features offer convenience and the ability to strike while the iron is hot. The new additions are awesome. Elektron :clap:t6:

Your video was great by the way :+1:t6:

I have to ask:

Wasn’t ’werk’ originally from @wowzer’s pen?

And by extension, his signature has made it onto Digitakt nomenclature.

That’s some LinkedIn-level bragging rights, right there

My digitakt has been shelved for a little bit. Is there a way in tue new update to select the sample quality? Maybe reduce it so we can fit more, longer samples on the +drive?

Someone else suggested up the thread that elektron should allow us to add a USB hhd to extend out the storage capacity. This would be a good suggestion to elektron as well.

Oh yeah. This is AMAZING.
The only thing i miss is stereo sampling.
But no more whining. Let’s enjoy this update.

No…it’s Dutch. The language has been around a lot longer than @wowzer ā€˜s linkedin.

a nod to my heritage

Been writing it that way since birth. Longer than linkedin’s existence.
And have been taking flak for it the whole time. WHICH, makes me persist.

So it was you! And yes, I’m aware of the origin of the word, but in this Elektronauts context. I always liked the use of the word, kudos

Don’t understand ?

Sorry I must have got you and phaelam mixed up.

It just stuck with me how the word ’werk’ was used on the forum and when I saw ā€Werpā€ used on the Digitakt UI, it sparked joy

Edit: meant no harm with this, just a simple fun thing.
