I threw a few wave tables in the slice machine as-is, and it was great. There was a little bit of clicking, which could be removed by using a low-pass filter on delay.
This comment makes me wonder why it clicks a little if slices are on zero cross-points, but at any rate the Echo Sound Works wavetables I have work like I expected, are interesting to change Grid parameter and random lock while playing…
[Edit to add: my wavetables only click when changing slices, not on repetitions of a given slice, which work on FWD L. just like single-cycle waveforms in the factory samples do. I’ve always thought this is a cool feature, glad it works to a very usable extent here on WTs…]

Looks like sample downloading is broken in firmware 1.50. Tested with Transfer 1.5.1.3 (February 2023).
This is the error I’m getting.
Could not verify sample 3 times. Aborting.
Could anyone else confirm this?
I used transfer last night after upgrading to 1.5
about 7 samples and they all loaded onto the device ok
Uploading works well.
Did you try downloading some?
Edit: By downloading I mean transferring a file from the Digitakt to the PC.

That’ll be a shame if that’s the case, hopefully they’ll do a quick fix on that

Agreed, I have mine up for sale.
There’s surely nothing stopping them having an ‘oscillator’ machine now they have the UI sorted for selecting machines. I know having single waveform samples is a workaround for this but having it in a machine would give so many more possibilities.

One cool thing I just thought of that you can do is resample a pattern containing 8 (or more) samples in sequence, and then load that sample into a track in slices mode. Poor man’s kits.

This is great! I really thought the Digitakt had pretty much reached it’s peak in terms of development!
All the Digitakt needs now imho are stereo samples, maybe a better reverb, and maybe some of the LFO Mod Destinations updated to implement some of the machine parameters as destinations!
Don’t know if anybody realised this update came a wednesday ? Just wondering now, what about next wednesday then ?

Does anyone know if there is a software vst or Ableton function that does the auto re-pitching thing introduced in 1.5? ie sample one bar of audio and keep locked to one bar as you raise or lower the tempo? I know you can do it manually by ear or using a calculator, but this way of doing it automatically on Digitakt is very handy.
