Digitakt Midi Velocity Sequencing Drums from Ableton

Hey Elektronauts,

I’m having an issue when sequencing drums via the Digitakt Midi channels. I know this seems like a very basic thing, so I must be missing something simple. The problem is when I am parameter locking the velocity this has no affect on the drums inside Ableton, they are always hitting at 100% even when I am reducing the velocity. The parameter locks are working for example when I want to change a note but nothing for velocity. Any points in the right direction would be great.

isn’t there a velocity plug in ableton live? Might not be what you ask but worth a try Velocity midi plug

Thanks for your response and the links you sent over. I would have thought that parameter locking the midi velocity would simply reduce the level in which that note would be played? Seems like a very basic function which isn’t working especially when creating drum grooves
